Our kids were noisy little chatterboxes, filling the house with constant 'noise'. Yet, interestingly, both of them managed to learn the same first word: "No!"

As we laughed and shared this memory during one of our family devotion nights, the sweetness of that moment revealed a deeper truth to me. It gently reminded me of the many ‘No's’ I have received from our Heavenly Father and how, just like a parent, His boundaries have always been wrapped in love.

I often catch myself feeling discontent. Even though my needs are fully met, my list of wants keeps growing. I feel dejected or empty when what I want isn’t what I have or get. But the truth is, God cares too much about us to give us everything we want, yet He loves us immensely and will always meet our needs.

: His "NO" or "NOT YET" isn't a denial of love; it’s a protective shield. This is where .

When we don't get what we want, it teaches us to rely on who He is. Those moments are a "training gym" for our faith, teaching us to trust His vision.

Our desires change with the seasons, but His blueprint for our lives is anchored on a rock-solid . He scouts the path ahead, withholding the things that might harm us to make room for what will truly fulfil us. Trust His boundaries; they always lead to His goodness.

"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." — (Philippians 4:19) These remind us that a closed door from a loving Father is better than an open door that leads us astray.

He knows what we need before we even ask! 🙌✨

⚓️ He was faithful, even when I wasn’t...

Since 2015, my heart has been beating passionately for Kingdom work. I lived for both home and overseas missions, finding pure joy in the harvest fields. My last trip was to Chiang Mai, Thailand, in 2017. Back then, our daughter, Samantha, was just a six-month-old baby.

Soon after that trip, life happened. The quiet, heavy distractions of the world caught up with Daphne and me. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, priorities shifted. For me, the blazing fire I once had for Kingdom work began to dwindle, eventually fading into nothing more than the faint glow of dying embers. My first love was slipping away.

Yet, our God works in the most beautifully relentless ways. Even as I found myself drowning in worldly distractions, navigating unexpected financial storms and more recently, facing life-threatening health battles, He never let me go. In my darkest moments, He quietly placed pockets of opportunity before me, gently beckoning me to return to Him and His work.

The turning point came last year. In 2025, God used Daphne to accomplish vital work in the harvest fields. Watching her step out didn't just inspire me, it broke through me, shook my spirit and rekindled the passion that had slept inside me for nearly a decade.

After battling cancer for slightly more than a year and going through 2 major surgeries within a span of 9 months, God gave me the strength and power to step up in Faith and challenge myself. On July 3rd, 2026, we took a leap of faith and embarked on our very first Mission Trip together as a couple.

To serve the Lord side-by-side, hand-in-hand as husband and wife, was a blessing beyond words. The Lord connected us with beautiful, like-minded souls to do deeply meaningful Kingdom work.

This journey has blown doors wide open for the future. But for right now, our hearts are just overflowing with contentment and joy. We are deeply humbled to know that despite my failings, we are still sheltered safely beneath the shadow of His wings.

We don't know exactly where this road will lead us next, but our hearts are entirely willing, and our feet are ready.

To God be all the glory. 🙌🏼❤️

A memory from the COVID-19 lockdown reminded my family of how we were still able to Dance & Rejoice during difficult times. The kids did all the actual dancing... but rejoice, we all did!

The world tells us to wait until the battle is won before we celebrate. We wait for the breakthrough, the answer, or the perfect circumstances to finally Rejoice.

But True Faith doesn't wait for the storm to pass; it dances in the rain. To Dance & Rejoice isn't about ignoring problems; it’s about acknowledging that our God is bigger than our problems! This is where .

When we choose to Rejoice before we see Victory, we change our Perspective & Outlook in life. , Praise is a powerful weapon. It shifts our focus from the size of our problems to the size of our God, strengthening our when we need it most.

Don't wait for a brighter season to give Him glory. Praise Him right here in the middle of our stormy journey. Speak it, believe it, and watch how Joy changes perspective!

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" — Philippians 4:4
These remind us that our joy isn't anchored in our changing circumstances, but in an unchanging God. Believe in Him for He is already working things out ahead into our future!...

When we feel like we are walking completely alone and empty on the inside, it is because God has cleared the path and muted the World’s noise.

It isn't isolation. He is showing us that He is all we need. He is the of everything we are! This is where .

When we have nothing left but God, we finally realise He is the Key to everything. , those quiet battles are just a training gym for our faith muscles. We are never truly alone. God’s goodness is chasing us, even in our darkest moments!

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” - Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV

These remind us that even on our loneliest journey, God is scouting the path ahead. He is already where we are going! 🙌✨

What is the Bible Really About? 📖
(Understanding the Redemption Roadmap)

In today's , we rediscover The Bible; His Story (a Masterplan) - a Grand Redemption Roadmap to restore Humanity so that we can live in fellowship with Him forever.

It is not just a collection of ancient writings. It is a unified narrative revealing who God is, what He has done, and what He promises to do - a Deep-Dive into God's Character and His Plan for Humanity. It details the journey of bringing Humanity back from a "heart of stone" to a living relationship with the Creator.

Every page serves as a lens into God’s nature & Character, revealing His holiness, His justice and His relentless mercy. The unified truth flows smoothly from Genesis to Revelation; it follows a single thread of redemption that points directly to our restoration.

when we stop seeing "rules" and start seeing a Father. It is the ultimate search for "Hidden Treasures" that leads us straight to the Heart of God.

The Bible doesn't just tell us what to do; it is that tells us who we are and whose we are. The Bible is God's "Love Letter" to us.

till next week!

Reading the Bible vs. Studying the Bible - Knowledge vs. Relationship:
While "Reading" is a beautiful way to hear God’s voice and cleanse our minds with the truth, "Studying" leads to , where the is built.

The Difference is in the Detail:
Reading is the "Bird’s Eye View": It provides the Big Picture. It’s like a refreshing swim that cools the body and familiarises us with the Great Story of God.
Studying is the "Microscopic View":
The intentional Act of slowing down. It asks: Why? Who? What? Where? and How? It looks at Context, Cross-References and Original Meanings to find the "Hidden Treasures" so that we can experience the "Living Waters."

Head Knowledge vs. Heart Relationship:
Reading informs the Mind, while Studying transforms the Heart. When we study, we aren't just looking at the Word; we are letting the Word look back at us. It’s the difference between merely knowing about God and truly knowing Him. It is about a Living Relationship. - I kid you not, the Bible will talk to you if you let it...

Next time you open your Bible, try picking just one verse and go deeper. Instead of moving to the next chapter, stay there. Ask: Why is God saying this? Who was this written for? What does this reveal about God’s character? Where is the significance? How does this apply to my life today? This is how .

Don't just settle for the shore, go , where the depths are, where the treasure lies. Feel the in your heart.

Coming Soon! , a New Weekly Series! - where I will be & sharing the I’ve gathered from my own study & the wonderful conversations I’ve had with fellow believers, family, friends & pre-believers.
My goal is to go of familiar scriptures to discover the "aha!" moments that only come when we look at the Original Context.
Whether we’re exploring the deep, meanings of keywords or sharing some I had from a recent chat over coffee/tea, or from our discussions, this will be a space where .
I am hoping these will encourage us in our walk, keeping the high as we learn & grow together.

Stay tuned!
