🌈 Learning Through Colour Sorting! 🌈

Our PG children had fun exploring colours through a hands-on colour sorting activity! 🎨

It was wonderful to see them think, try, make mistakes, adjust their choices, and try again. Some needed a little more time to figure it out, while others confidently sorted the colours correctly. 💭✨

Every little mistake is part of learning! Through this activity, the children were developing their colour recognition, concentration, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills while building confidence through their own discoveries. 🧠🌟

🚲✨ Little Hands, Big Creativity! 🎨

Our little learners had so much fun making their very own DIY bicycles! Through this hands-on craft activity, they explored creativity, practiced their fine motor skills, and enjoyed turning simple materials into something special. 💕

We love seeing their little ideas come to life! 🌈👏

🌷 Happy Teachers’ Day! 🌷

Teachers’ Day is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate our teachers and, more importantly, to help our children understand the meaning of gratitude, appreciation and kindness. ❤️

At Bright Sparks, our children celebrated Teachers’ Day by expressing their love and appreciation for the teachers who guide, care for and support them every day. Seeing their little gestures of gratitude made the celebration even more meaningful. 🥰

But the celebration did not end there!

The following day, we were delighted to welcome Dr Ravee Vellu S to our school for a meaningful sharing session with our teachers. Dr Ravee shared valuable insights on how we can better understand, guide and support young children, and how teachers can become more effective and mindful guides in a child’s early years. 🌱

Our teachers also took the opportunity to share their experiences, exchange ideas and learn from one another. We believe that when teachers continue to learn and grow, our children benefit too.

And of course, learning is always better when we have fun together! 😄
Our team enjoyed a wonderful meal together, creating opportunities to connect, relax and strengthen our relationships beyond the classroom.

This Friday, our teaching team will be heading to Genting Highlands, Malaysia for a team trip — a chance for us to strengthen our communication, teamwork and collaboration while enjoying some well-deserved time together. ❤️

🌷 Teacher’s Day | Growing Together as Educators 🌷

This Teacher’s Day, we were delighted to welcome Dr Ravee Vellu S to Bright Sparks Childcare for a meaningful and engaging session with our teaching team. 💛

Dr Ravee shared valuable insights on how we understand, communicate with and guide young children, reminding us that a teacher is not simply someone who teaches — a teacher is one of a child’s first guides in life.

👧🏻👦🏻 Behind every behaviour is a child who is trying to communicate.

One of the important reflections from the session was learning to look beyond a child’s behaviour and understand the feelings, needs and emotions behind it. Instead of immediately focusing on what a child has done, we can pause, listen and ask ourselves:

“What is the child trying to tell us?”

Dr Ravee also reminded our teachers about the importance of the way we speak to children, respond to their emotions and build positive communication. A calm voice, patient response and encouraging words can make a meaningful difference to how children see themselves and the world around them. 🌱

As early childhood educators, we have the privilege of being part of a child’s very important early years. Our role is to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, understood and confident to learn and explore.

The session was not only an opportunity for our teachers to learn new perspectives, but also a reminder that educators themselves must continue learning and growing in order to better support every child.

We sincerely thank Dr Ravee Vellu S for sharing his knowledge, experience and valuable insights with our team. It was an inspiring session filled with meaningful reflections that our teachers can bring into their everyday interactions with the children. ❤️

🌈 DIY Play-Doh with Flour! 🌈

Today, our little learners had lots of fun making their very own Play-Doh using flour! 🥰✨

Through this hands-on activity, the children explored different textures, colours and shapes while mixing, kneading and creating with their little hands. 🎨👐

It was a fun and sensory-filled learning experience that encouraged creativity, fine motor skills and hands-on exploration. 💕🌟

Learning through play is always more fun! 🥳
