Alhamdullilah on this blessed Friday, staff of Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah had the opportunity to refresh and gain new knowledge on the Importance of Islamic Legacy Planning and Lasting Power of Attorney by Ustaz Alif, Alep Faraid | Islamic Wills from Istishari Islamic Services.

The session wrapped up with deeper understanding and tools that can help answer the question of how and what do we want to prepare for our loved ones now, when we still have the capability to do so.

Nur Ala Nur 2.0 was envisioned to enhance MWTI's facilities and create a better learning environment for our students. We are grateful to see that vision take shape with the completion of the Annex Building.

This showreel, first presented during the recent launch of the Annex Building, captures the journey that brought us here.

To every donor, supporter and member of our community who contributed along the way, thank you for helping turn this vision into a reality.

May Allah SWT accept your contributions as sadaqah jariyah and reward you abundantly 🤲

60th Majlis Zikra Rasul ✨

Alhamdulillah, on Saturday, 29 August 2026, Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah celebrated a special milestone: the 60th Majlis Zikra Rasul. We brought together students, teachers, parents, alumni and members of the community in remembrance and love for Rasulullah ﷺ through the Al-Quran and Sunnah.

The day began with MUQNAN; Musabaqah Al-Quran Nur Ala Nur, our annual Musabaqah Al-Quran that brings together young participants from madrasahs and educational institutions across Singapore. We were honoured to have the Mufti of Singapore, Dr Nazirudin Mohd Nasir, grace the occasion and present the awards to our deserving participants.

Following the award ceremony, the Mufti officiated the opening of our new annex building, a meaningful milestone in MWTI’s journey as we continue to grow and create more space for our students and school community. The unveiling of the commemorative plaque marked a truly historic moment for the school.✨

The celebrations continued with a community gathering filled with food, fellowship and activities. From 10am to 3pm, our guests enjoyed complimentary biryani generously prepared by Masjid Khalid and served by our students and staff, alongside a vibrant marketplace featuring booths by our Parents’ Support Group, Student Council (ITMAWAT) and ICT Club, as well as local small businesses.

From books and squishies to food, customised stationery, photobooths and more, there was something for everyone to enjoy! We ended the day with a meaningful talk on Al-Quran for families by our very own alumni: Ustazah Nurul Izzah Khamsani, Ustazah Nurul Huda Khamsani, Ustazah Tan Nurul Hafidzah and Ustazah Zahratur Rofiqah.

Alhamdulillah for a beautiful day of Qur’an, remembrance, community and celebration.

60 years of remembrance.
60 years of nurturing.
60 years of serving the community.

May Allah ﷻ continue to bless Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah, its students, teachers, families and community, and grant us the tawfiq to carry forward this legacy for generations to come.
