It was a sea of red and white in North View Primary as we celebrated Singapore’s 61st Birthday last Friday! ❤️🤍

From lively performances and familiar National Day tunes to moments of togetherness and school spirit, our students and staff celebrated what it means to call Singapore home. Through the cheers, songs and smiles, we were reminded that our strength lies in our unity, shared experiences and the community we build together.

⭐️ Bringing Languages to Life Through Multimodal Learning

Students experience the joy of learning Malay, Chinese and Tamil through engaging multimodal learning experiences. Through role-playing, interactive games and the use of iPads, lessons come alive as students actively explore, communicate and collaborate.

These meaningful learning experiences build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and deepen students’ appreciation of their Mother Tongue Languages in a fun and engaging way.

North View Primary School celebrated Racial Harmony Day with a vibrant showcase of Singapore‘s rich multicultural heritage! 💙

From the engaging performance Ramanujan and the Mixed-Up Washing to a joyful multilingual sing-along, our students learnt that racial harmony is built through everyday acts of kindness, respect and inclusion.

The celebrations continued with a lively Cultural Fiesta, where students explored different languages, traditional games, cultural attire, hands-on crafts and the diverse musical heritage of our communities.

Together, we celebrate our differences, strengthen our friendships, and weave a stronger, more harmonious Singapore.

North View Primary School was transformed into a vibrant celebration of language and culture during our Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) Fortnight and the exciting MTL Fiesta!

From storytelling and traditional games to hands-on crafts, music and immersive cultural experiences, our Northviewans discovered that learning Mother Tongue is about understanding our roots, embracing our identity and appreciating the rich tapestry of cultures that make Singapore home. ❤️

The celebration reached its grand finale at the MTL Fiesta, where colourful cultural booths, creative student showcases and interactive experiences brought traditions to life, filling our school with joy, curiosity and pride.

At NVPS, we believe every language tells a story, every culture has a voice, and every child grows richer through these shared experiences.

🌈 Community in Action! 🌈

We are honoured to partner with Nee Soon Link CC and Yishun Green to bring about a vibrant Racial Harmony Day celebration for the community.

Together with performers from Northbrooks Secondary and Northland Secondary, our Northviewans played an active role in bringing the celebration to life. Our talented student performers showcased vibrant Chinese, Malay and International Dance performances, while our Student Leaders engaged residents and fostered meaningful connections within the community.

Through this meaningful collaboration, we celebrated our diverse heritage, strengthened community bonds and nurtured a spirit of unity among our young and the wider community.

What happens when the library lights go out?
During Positive Minutes Time last week, our English Department teachers brought the answer to life through a lively and humorous skit, “Night at the Library: The Books Come Alive!”, reminding students that every book has a story waiting to be discovered.
Filled with laughter, adventure, fairy-tale magic, fascinating facts and a touch of mystery, the performance was a fun way to celebrate and promote the ongoing Storytelling Thursdays, where students are invited to gather in the library every Thursday during recess to listen to captivating stories shared by teachers. We look forward to seeing even more students discovering the magic of books and the joy of reading, one story at a time!
