On 9 August, the birth of Singapore, SG Project Silent set a new direction for Water Safety and Drowning Prevention education as part of our celebration for Singapore's birthday.

Water Safety Knowledge first before skill development.

Everyone must have the right to access Water Safety and Swimming Lesson to prevent drowning.

In water safety and swimming lesson, knowledge must be taught first before entering the water for skill development.

1. Learn about hazard of water environment and how to prevent.
2. First skill for swimming is to float on back position.
3. Advance swimming, survival and life saving skills in different context and conditions.

Develop a lifelong water safety attitude and aptitude for life.

☆Think Safe - Swim Safe - Stay Safe☆
☆Watch Me - Swim with Me - Teach Me Right.☆
☆Plan - Check - GO☆

Water Safety is a Shared Responsibility.
Personal Responsibility Towards Water Safety and Drowning Prevention.

I pledge to do my part.
Prevention Made Possible.

Anyone can drown, no one should.
Sesiapa sahaja boleh lemas, tiada siapa yang harus.
珍爱生命, 预防溺水。
யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் மூழ்கலாம், யாரும் மூழ்கக்கூடாது.

A man went swimming at Sentosa's Palawan Beach with five friends on Jul. 31 evening and had to be rescued from drowning.

The friends realised that their one friend who could not swim was somehow in deep water, with only half his head visible above the surface.

One of them went to rescue him and was almost pulled under.

The distressed man was pulled to shore after he apparently lost consciousness.

He was attended to by beach staff, but reportedly coughed up blood later.
