Penang Adventures: And just like that, our Penang adventure is coming to an end! ✈️💙

As our Mayflower students wait at the airport for our journey home, we look back on three memorable days filled with new experiences, meaningful learning, cultural discoveries and friendships.

We may be leaving Penang, but the memories and lessons from this journey will stay with us for a long time to come. 🇲🇾🇸🇬✨

Penang Adventures: Walking through history at Fort Cornwallis! 🏰📖

Our Mayflower Voyagers explored one of Penang’s iconic historical landmarks and learnt more about its beginnings, its role in Penang’s early history, and the stories behind the fort.

It was a meaningful heritage walk that brought history to life beyond the pages of a textbook! 🇲🇾✨

Penang Adventures: Our Mayflower students explored the colourful streets of George Town, admiring its iconic street art and learning how the murals reflect the city’s unique character and history.

The journey continued at the Peranakan Museum, where students gained a deeper appreciation of Peranakan culture through its beautiful architecture, intricate furnishings, traditional clothing and everyday artefacts.

Penang Adventures: Building friendships through shared experiences! 🇸🇬🤝🇲🇾

Our Mayflower students had a wonderful visit to Penang Chinese Girls’ Primary School, where students from both schools took part in an interactive session to get to know one another better and forge new friendships.

Our students also had the opportunity to learn how to play traditional musical instruments such as the angklung and kompang. The session culminated in a lively joint performance, bringing everyone together through music. 🎶✨

Penang Adventures: Getting creative with batik! 🎨✨

Our Mayflower students learnt about the traditional art of batik-making and discovered how beautiful patterns are created using wax and dyes. They then put their learning into practice by designing and creating their very own batik pieces.

A wonderful hands-on experience that allowed our students to appreciate Penang’s rich cultural heritage while expressing their creativity! 🇲🇾🖌️

Mayflower Primary School celebrated Singapore’s 61st National Day with pride, unity and heart.

From our National Day Observance Ceremony to vibrant performances and familiar National Day songs, our students came together to celebrate the nation we call Home.

As one inclusive Mayflower family, we sang and signed the National Anthem and recited and signed the Pledge alongside our deaf students and staff — a meaningful reminder that everyone belongs.

We ended with the Pledge 60 Moment — one school, one Pledge, one shared commitment to a better Singapore.
