Different lives, same city. 🌆

Follow a day in the lives of Xin Wei, Xun Xuan, Isaac, Vivian, and Kiat as they navigate their overseas internships in Shanghai through both GEIP and GRIP.

Different roles, different routines, yet the same long days and long hours away from home. Through every commute, challenge, and late night, they share one thing in common: growth through the experience.

Day 1 at Kohler was a whirlwind of office tours, warming up to the work, and having fun with the team. Grateful to be under this program representing NP Design & Environment on this Overseas Internship journey. It’s a long way from home, but the design inspiration is next level.

Meet Krish, currently interning at Cube Insights under GEIP—taking his overseas experience beyond the workplace.

While in Bangkok, he dove straight into the vibrant Songkran festival—celebrating alongside locals, embracing the culture, and making memories you simply can’t get in a classroom.

While interning in Vietnam, Simon took a step back from the fast-paced work life for a weekend escape with friends.

Because sometimes, the best part of the journey isn’t the work—it’s the moments in between. New places, new memories, new perspectives.

From weaving through busy streets to stumbling upon hidden corners of the city, Zachary took his internship experience beyond the office—exploring Jakarta in a way most wouldn’t.

From closing my laptop at Kohler for the last time, to tearful goodbyes to colleagues. This Overseas Internship journey has been so much more than just product design—it’s been about navigating a new culture, growing as a designer, and making memories that’ll last a lifetime.
