To me, music should be enjoyable, interesting and exciting. It is never just an exam. Learning and playing music is a lifelong journey.

I always believe that every child & adult should have the privilege to enjoy music through different teaching pedagogy.

Google Slide - Italian Term Pop Quiz Grade 1 - Published.ppsx 27/06/2024

I have prepared a slide for the teacher to review and quiz students on Italian music terms (grade 1). Initially, I created a PowerPoint version, but then I realized an issue with accessing it on mobile devices. As a result, I made a Google Slide, too. I hope you enjoy it.

There are two versions available to download:
1. The mobile version is accessible on Google Slides. Feel free to enjoy, and please share any feedback you have!

2. For the laptop version, you can click the link, then click download to download the zip file, unzip it, and click on the HTML file. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K3uEwe87W78yc3KVjP7n1LRetSRy8Riv/view?usp=sharing

It gives a whole picture of different note 🎵 values and their relations. 👀Visualise. Fun to play with. Math and are not taught together, but they share some similarities. Counting, rhythm, patterns … I use the Lego brick to get kids to relate this after the body movement game.

With my piano students, I often start with rhythm when learning a new piece. Introduces the toys 🧸 to them, name it and We tap and count out loud, chant the words in rhythm, step the rhythm, keep a steady beat and chant the rhythm, and point to the notes in the music and count out loud. That fun and effective. Thanks to jerison’s idea

What is your view? 💡How you teach solfege to your student? 🎼

To make it interesting and effortless for kids to recognise the ‘C’ note on the keyboard.
1st step: play all the 2 black keys
2nd step: the first white key of the 2 black keys is C. Now place all the ponies on the ‘C’astle, because ponies 🐴 need a home.
