Deepavali Celebrations 2025 — Rhythms of Joy
✨ Our school community came together to celebrate the Festival of Lights — Deepavali — with great joy and enthusiasm! ✨
From fun recess activities like Henna Drawing, Kahoot Quiz, Tic Tac Toe, and a festive photo booth to the highlight of the day — our ‘Rhythms of Joy’ programme by Venus Academy of Arts Pte Ltd, it was a vibrant celebration of culture and unity.
The skit and traditional dances such as Mayilattam, Kollattam, and Poi Kaal Kuthirai, along with a lively mass Kollattam and stunning International Dance, brought the spirit of Deepavali to life. 🌟
A heartfelt thank you to all teachers, performers, and students for making this celebration truly joyful and meaningful! 💖

Purple Parade Week: Celebrating Abilities & Inclusion! 💜
Our school joined The Purple Parade movement with an inspiring week of activities promoting inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Highlights:
🏹 Para-Archer Nur Syahidah Alim shared her inspiring journey
🏸 Para-Shuttler Tay Wei Ming's powerful assembly talk: "Either I give it my all or I don't do it at all"
🤝 Students pledged inclusion with "I am able to" statements
👁️ Disability simulation activities opened eyes and hearts
🧩 Interactive learning through crossword puzzles and quizzes
Our school community was moved by stories of resilience and determination. Students reflected on courage in overcoming setbacks, whilst staff felt empowered to better support all learners.

Our young orators and student leaders had the unique opportunity to interact with Mediacorp radio deejays, gaining insights into their daily work, stories and challenges in the media world. Students learnt about the importance of effective communication and how it shapes the way we connect and inspire others. A few of them even had the exciting chance to interview the deejays themselves! It was truly an inspiring and memorable experience for our budding communicators!

A group of our students also had the opportunity to experience the Science Buskers Event up close! They explored fascinating science concepts, from Pascal’s Law and how hydraulic jacks, brakes and machines multiply force, to Chladni patterns that reveal how sound frequencies create beautiful designs and surface tension that makes water behave in surprising ways. Our students were curious, engaged, and inspired. What a fun and meaningful way to learn science!

After months of hard work exploring, experimenting and researching the science behind crystallisation, our students took their passion to the stage at Marina Square! From engaging young children and curious adults to impressing the judges, our students showcased confidence, creativity and strong Science communication skills throughout their busking. We are so proud of their achievement! A heartfelt thank you to all teachers and parents who came down to cheer and support our students!

Last month, our students from the Art Expression CCA Talent Development Programme proudly represented the school in two exciting competitions — and brought home some fantastic achievements!
🏆 17th Singapore Watercolour Society National Junior Watercolour Competition 2025
Held alongside the SWS 56th Annual Exhibition, the theme "My Singapore, Our Tomorrow, Today" inspired over 100 participants across the nation.
We’re thrilled to announce that Yuan Ziheng (5IN1) received a Consolation Award in the Group B Primary category! 👏
📝🎨 Pesta Pantun Malay Poetry Competition @ Frontier CC
Our Primary 5 students showcased their creativity in Category A, combining poetry writing with drawing. Out of our 5 participants, 3 made it to the Top 5! 🌟

Through the lens of our P6 students, familiar corners of our school come alive in new ways. From lines and shapes to colours and angles, they captured spaces filled with memories before we move to a new home next year. A legacy project close to the heart.

Great news! Our students have been selected as finalist for Singapore Science Buskers 2025 and will be showcasing their project at the Grand Finals. The competition would be held at Marina Square on 27th September (Saturday). Do come down to catch them in action and show your support by casting your vote!
