🌍✨Last week, our Primary 3 to Primary 6 students joined forces to champion the reduction of single-use plastics through the "Bring Your Own Bag" and "Bring Your Own Container" community campaigns! 🛍️♻️

They actively engaged the community to understand the challenges of single-use plastics and brainstormed ways to encourage the use of reusable alternatives. 💬🔄 Proud of their effective acts of advocacy, we are so looking forward to every RSS student growing into a strong, responsible Eco-Steward, playing an active role in environmental conservation! 💪🏼 🌿🌟

🌍✨ 上个星期，我校小三到小六学生通过“自带袋子”和“自带餐盒”的社区活动，倡导公众人士减少一次性塑料的使用！🛍️♻️

他们积极与社区互动，了解一次性塑料带来的挑战，并集思广益，寻找鼓励使用可重复使用替代品的方法。💬🔄 我们为学生们感到骄傲，也希望他们能继续成长，在未来成为有影响力并负责任的环保卫士，为拯救地球尽一份力。🌿🌟

“华文真好玩！”卍慈学校于5月9日为母语双周拉开序幕。为期两周的活动不但让学生尽情地从欢乐中学习华文、更让大家沉浸在中华文化里 。活动包罗万象，包括本地漫画家分享会、端午节活动、卍慈小网红、篆刻、脸谱、香包制作、语文游戏、故事导读、中英翻译比赛、亲子硬笔书法等等。🤩 希望同学们继续多说多用华语，热爱华文！❤️

"Chinese is so much fun!" Red Sw****ka School launched our Mother Tongue Language Fortnight on the 9th of May. The two-week event not only allowed students to learn Chinese joyfully but also immersed everyone in Chinese culture. The activities were diverse, including sessions with local cartoonists, Dragon Boat Festival activities, RSS Little Influencers, seal carving, face painting, sachet making, language games, story reading, Chinese-English translation competitions, parent-child calligraphy, and more! 🤩 We hope the students continue to speak and use Chinese more often and developed a love for the Chinese language! ❤️

Come celebrate with us!! 😄🎉🎉
Our Primary 4 budding computer programmers, Lucas, Kai Han, Luke, and Elyse, guided by Mr. Jasper Ang, took home the top prize at the Pei Hwa Hackathon!! 🏆✨🎉 Using Design Thinking to create the NextGen Transit Hub, the team revolutionized the bus stop waiting experience, making it more accessible for commuters with diverse needs. 🚏👏 Amazing teamwork and innovation! Well done! 🌟👊

🌟 RSS Ending Term 1 Right! 🌟

Through our End It Right! Programme, the school has provided a mosaic of rich learning experiences for our students to enhance their holistic development. Over the last 3 days of Term 1, our students experienced English, Music, ICT enrichment activities, cultural appreciation lessons, RSS Reads, Active@RSS, etc. 📚🎶💻🌍

A special shout-out to the creativity demonstrated during RSS Reads! 📖 where our students wrote their own twisted tales in both languages! The teachers and students thoroughly enjoyed the hilarious twists, surprising character transformations, and unexpected endings the students came up with! 😂👏

All our students also had a wonderful time participating actively in the much-anticipated Active@ RSS, our annual sports carnival, designed to encourage mass participation in physical activities. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ While trying to stay active, the students had a memorable experience bonding with their friends during the exciting activities. 🤝

Through the cultural appreciation lessons, our students' interest was piqued as they passionately learned about and appreciated Chinese culture, heritage, and values, deepening the SAP identity in them. 🌸 Kudos to all the teachers who put in great effort and time in planning and enacting the End It Right! Programme to create memories and enrich our students' learning experiences. 👏🕰️

It's been a term of hard work and play, and now it's time to rejoice in a well-deserved March holidays! 🌈 We're looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic Term 2 ahead! 🌟

这个学段末，卍慈的小孩放下了课本，体验了英文、音乐、科技、文化、阅读和体育等各方面的拓展活动，促进了他们的全面发展！！ 📚🎶💻🌍

学生在 RSS 阅读乐（RSS Reads！）表现出了他们的创造力，以两种语言写下了他们自己的扭曲故事！搞笑的转折、令人惊奇的角色转变、意想不到的结局，让师生们尽情享受阅读与创作的乐趣！ 😂👏

我们所有的学生还积极参加了备受期待的 Active@ RSS 活动，一年一度的体育嘉年华，鼓励大家参与体育活动，保持活跃。孩子们在活动中打成一片，玩得不亦乐乎。 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🤝

老师们精心设计的文化课也激发了学生们的学习兴趣，他们通过各种活动了解和欣赏中国文化、传统和价值观，从而加深了他们对各种族、各国家的文化知识。 🌸👏

🌟✨ Exciting News Alert! 🌟✨

Red Sw****ka School recently commemorated Total Defence Day in a spectacular way, marking 40 years of Total Defence with a truly memorable event! 🇸🇬✨

Our Assembly featured a captivating skit that brought to life the six pillars of defence, with a focus on Singapore's historical water rationing. 💧💂‍♂️ Our students were fully engaged with a variety of recess fringe activities – hands-on practice on how to pack a ready bag for emergency preparedness, Kahoot game to reinforce what students have learnt from the assembly, demonstration by SCDF officers on the proper use of AEDs, making of personal pledges to conserve water daily etc.

But that's not all – we also had the honor of having Ministry of State, Ms Gan Siow Huang, grace our event! 🌟 What an incredible privilege! 😊

To top it all off, our students participated in a water-rationing exercise, collecting water from a designated point and sharing their insights during class discussions. 💬💧 The activities educated our students on the importance of individual responsibility and collaboration in building a strong, resilient society in Singapore. 🏗️🇸🇬

A huge thank you to all our guests, PSG volunteers, teachers and students who made this event possible! Let's continue to work together to uphold Total Defence and keep Singapore strong! 💪🎉
