[“FIGHTING THE SILVER-HORNED KING!”]

The Golden-horned King sent out two of his monster minions to capture Sun Wu Kong using the “Purple Gold Red Gourd”. Sun Wu Kong had been reciting incantations continuously, managing to move the mountains holding him down and morphing into an elderly man. He went up to the monster minions and asked them what the gourd really did.

“As long as the mouth of the gourd is set downwards, you can call a name and whoever’s name was called would be sucked into the gourd!”

The naïve little minions explained,

“It’s really powerful! As long as the person is stuck in there for half an hour, they’ll turn into nothing else but a stew of pus and blood!” (🤢🤮)

Sun Wu Kong generated a clever idea, plucking out one of his hairs to transform into a fake gourd. With exaggerated gestures as a distraction, he switched out the real gourd with his fake one and quickly fled the scene. He took the “Purple Gold Red Gourd” out of the Lotus Cave and yelled at the entrance.

“Hey, monsters! Do you dare to come out and deal with me!” he taunted. Upon hearing that, the minions scrambled back to their master to inform them of Sun Wu Kong’s arrival. The Silver-horned King exited the cave and was even more shocked than he already was when he saw Sun Wu Kong in the flesh.

He took out “his” gourd and shouted Sun Wu Kong’s into it, but Sun Wu Kong didn’t budge. He guffawed, amused by the Silver-horned King’s cluelessness, and took out the real “Purple Gold Red Gourd”. The Silver-horned King was very angry, taking out his weapon, jabbing it at Sun Wu Kong. Sun Wu Kong, accepting the challenge, took out his staff too and fought with the monster.

Soon, the Silver-horned King realised he couldn’t win against Sun Wu Kong. With one command, hundreds of little monster minions ran over, circling Sun Wu Kong. But Sun Wu Kong had tricks of his own up his sleeves. He plucked out a few more of his hair, putting them in his mouth and chewing them.

When he spat them out, the hairs transformed into hundreds of thousands of Sun Wu Kong’s little clones. The Sun Wu Kong clones were extremely brave, beating the monster minions up so badly that they couldn’t even run if they wanted to.

Upon seeing that he was going to lose, the Silver-horned King turned around to flee but Sun Wu Kong caught on, appearing in front of him. He called “the Silver-horned King” and without missing a beat, the monster in question was sucked into the “Purple Gold Red Gourd”. At that moment, Daode Tianzun appeared.

As it turns out, the Golden-and-Silver-horned brothers were actually two of Daode Tianzun’s apprentices who stole his “Purple Gold Red Gourd” and used it for evil in the mortal world. Daode Tianzun took the brothers back to the Heavenly Palace while Sun Wu Kong saved Tang Seng, Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang from their cages and they continued on with their journey happily. :D

[“FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE SILVER-HORNED KING”]

As the group continued along with their journey, each mountain they passed was even more dangerous than the last but they arrived at Pingdingshan safely. There were rumours going around about how there was a Lotus Cave on top of Pingdingshan.

It was inhabited by two monsters, the elder one being the Golden-horned King and the younger one being the Silver-horned King. The brothers were very powerful and they would treasure a special gourd called “Gold Purple Red Gourd” (very long name ;-;) that’s power is unmatched.

Sun Wu Kong asked Zhu Bajie to go ahead and find a path and he agreed without another word, but Sun Wu Kong knew Zhu Bajie could never get rid of his sluggishness and hopped behind his ear as a little bug. He planned to give Zhu Bajie a warning bite if he saw he was getting lazy.

But Zhu Bajie STILL fell asleep. Annoyed, Sun Wu Kong immediately bit Zhu Bajie, waking him up suddenly before crawling back to where the others were waiting.

Zhu Bajie soon came back and told Tang Seng a lie, but luckily, Tang Seng had already been warned by Sun Wu Kong earlier. Only then did Zhu Bajie find out Sun Wu Kong had followed him the whole time and shamefully went back to finding a real path. This time, Zhu Bajie got halfway up the hill when he met the Silver-horned King and got captured.

Tang Seng, bothered by how long it took for Zhu Bajie to come back, asked Sun Wu Kong to go find Zhu Bajie. Sun Wu Kong led Tang Seng up the hill and met an elderly man with a leg injury. But that was actually the Silver-horned King in disguise.

Tang Seng ordered Sun Wu Kong to carry the old man on his back but Sun Wu Kong already saw through the disguise and was ready to throw him off his back to his DEATH 💀.

The Silver-horned King used his magic powers and conjured 3 mountains to trap Sun Wu Kong (again?!🥲) before capturing Tang Seng and She Heshang. When the Golden-horned King saw that his brother had captured a monk, he was very delighted and held a big banquet for his brother to celebrate.

As the Silver-horned King drank wine, he said drunkenly to his brother, “Just you wait until I manage to catch Sun Wu Kong. Then we’ll be able to eat Tang Seng’s meat!”

[“Battling the Yellow Robe Monster”]

During the Yellow Robe Monster’s stay in the Imperial Palace, he happily drank without restraint, slowing morphing back into his true monster form. Zhu Bajie wanted to save his master, but he knew he was no match for the Yellow Robe Monster.

White Dragon-Horse suggested going to the Mountain of Flowers and Fruits to ask Sun Wu Kong to help out. When Zhu Bajie told Sun Wu Kong that Tang Seng was turned into a tiger by the Yellow Robe Monster, Sun Wu Kong was furious, immediately taking off with Zhu Bajie to find the Yellow Robe Monster, get even and save Tang Seng.

When Sun Wu Kong and Zhu Bajie came to the Black Forest, Sun Wu Kong took out his golden staff and, in a flurry, he beat down the minions, sending them fleeing in disorder. They rescued Sha Heshang and the BaoXiang princess. Some of the minions fled to the Kingdom of BaoXiang, informing their master of Sun Wu Kong’s arrival.

Upon hearing the news, the Yellow Robe Monster rushed back to the Black Forest. Upon reaching his cave, he ran into Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang and started to fight them. The duo pretended not to be able to defeat him, running away. The Yellow Robe Monster thought he had defeated them and was very satisfied with himself, skipping back into his cave.

By that point, Sun Wu Kong had already transformed into the BaoXiang princess, running forward to welcome the monster back. The Yellow Robe Monster was delighted when he saw the princess, walking with her back into the cave.

The moment they stepped foot into the cave, Sun Wu Kong changed back into himself, brandishing his weapon and started to attack the Yellow Robe Monster. Both parties fought so ferociously that it was hard to determine who would triumph. Suddenly, Sun Wu Kong brought his staff right to the monster’s head before he could dodge it and sent him running.

Sun Wu Kong chased him all the way to the Heavenly Palace, only just finding out that he was originally the “Kui Wood Wolf” of the 28 constellations in the sky. When the Jade Emperor found out, he sent some soldiers to descent to the mortal world and subdue the Yellow Robe Monster, bringing him back to the Heavenly Palace.

Sun Wu Kong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang came to the Kingdom of BaoXiang and rescued out Tang Seng, turning him back human. When Tang Seng found out that he had misunderstood Sun Wu Kong, he apologised to him. The king and princess of BaoXiang thanked the team profusely, offering to hold a banquet to repay them. Everyone was overjoyed!

After Sun Wu Kong’s departure, Tang Seng, Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang hurried on. A few days later, they came to the Black Forest and Tang Seng sent Zhu Bajie to find some food to eat. As Zhu Bajie walked, he started to feel a bit tired and lay down on a patch of grass to rest, falling asleep as a result. Tang Seng, upon noticing that Zhu Bajie had disappeared for far too long, decided to venture into the forest alone.

In the forest, he saw a pagoda and walked up to it. A beautiful young lady walked out of the pagoda. She was actually the princess of the Kingdom of BaoXiang who had been captured by the Yellow Robe Monster and hidden in a cave. She begged him to notify the Kingdom of BaoXiang and send people to come save her. Hence, Tang Seng, together with the other two disciples, went to the Kingdom of BaoXiang and told them about the princess’ plight.

The king was deeply saddened and requested the same three to save the princess. Tang Seng sent Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang to challenge the Yellow Robe Monster. But who could’ve known that neither of them was the monster’s match, for Sha Heshang was captured and Zhu Bajie only barely managed to escape.

At that, the Yellow Robe Monster shapeshifted into a strong young man and came to the Kingdom of BaoXiang, framing Tang Seng as the real Yellow Robe Monster who captured the princess, then using magic to turn Tang Seng into a tiger. The king was scared out of his wits and believed in the Yellow Robe Monster. A few brave soldiers rushed forward and tied up Tiger Tang Seng, trapping him in a cage.

After Tang Seng’s and his disciples’ departure from Wuzhuang Guan Temple, they came to a barren hill. Tang Seng felt a bit hungry so he requested Sun Wu Kong to find something to eat. Sun Wu Kong lifted himself into the sky with his staff in hand. He observed from the skies while riding on a cloud and noticed a peach forest in the south. Sun Wu Kong was overjoyed, speeding across the sky towards the forest to pick some peaches.

However, in that forest lived a monster called the White Bone Spirit who knew Tang Seng was going to pass by that direction on his journey and wanted to eat his meat. Upon seeing Sun Wu Kong leaving the forest, the White Bone Spirit transformed itself into a beautiful young woman carrying some food and approached Tang Seng.

The White Bone Spirit pretended to be fetching Tang Seng something to eat and planned to kidnap him during the confusion. When “she” saw Tang Seng and his disciples, “she” invited them to eat. Although Tang Seng politely declined the young woman’s invitation, Zhu Bajie had been so famished that he was drooling and couldn’t help but reach for the food.

At that moment, Sun Wu Kong had also returned with some peaches. Sun Wu Kong knew that the woman was indeed a spirit in disguise with just one look so he lifted his golden staff high and beat her up. The White Bone Spirit used its magic and left a fake carcass on the ground, then escaping by transforming into a gust of wind and flying away.

Tang Seng thought Sun Wu Kong killed an innocent person and was livid, wanting to drive off Sun Wu Kong. Sun Wu Kong kneeled on the ground and explained the situation, imploring for forgiveness. Tang Seng decided not to drive him away but only under the condition that Sun Wu Kong would no longer kill people.

The White Bone Spirit, after escaping, came back as an old lady holding a walking cane and approached Tang Seng yet again. Sun Wu Kong saw through the disguise and beat the spirit for the second time. The spirit used its magic to escape once more, leaving behind the unmoving body of the old lady.

Tang Seng saw Sun Wu Kong kill yet another innocent person and recited the Incitation of the Golden Hoop, tightening Sun Wu Kong’s golden headband so much that Sun Wu Kong was writhing on the ground in agony. When Tang Seng wanted to drive away Sun Wu Kong again, Sun Wu Kong implored persistently, asking for forgiveness. Tang Seng reluctantly let Sun Wu Kong stay by his side but yet again, under the condition that he would no longer kill people.

HOWEVER, that (annoying) White Bone Spirit transformed again into an old man standing on the top of the hill, chanting the Buddhist scripture while sobbing. Sun Wu Kong recognized the spirit yet again and was filled with flames of fury. (who wouldn’t? This is the third time!) Fueled by his anger and annoyance, Sun Wu Kong finally managed to kill off the White Bone Spirit but was yet again misunderstood by Tang Seng, who forcefully drove Sun Wu Kong away.

Sun Wu Kong, left with no other choice, could only pray to Tang Seng and exhort Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang to protect Tang Seng. He then left for his old home, the Mountain of Flowers and Fruits.
