Facilities at SLAM International

At SLAM International’s boarding residence, the health and wellbeing of students is of utmost importance to us. We take pride in the management of our kitchen and dining service, and ensure that our food supply comes from certified Spanish suppliers that provide quality, fresh produce. For students partaking in sports, we have nutritionists who plan meals in accordance to their training and competition schedules. Menus are selected a week in advance, in anticipation of the energy and nutritional needs of students. With our students’ active lifestyles, providing healthy and hearty food at SLAM is essential for fuelling their minds for the classroom and their bodies for the sports field.

Activities at SLAM International

"Youths and students frequently utilize the expansive football fields at our SLAM Soccer School. During the school year, we organize both inter-team tournaments and casual matches with federated teams in the communities of Madrid and Castilla León. Our young football players here at SLAM have plenty of opportunities to hone their skills all year round and be coached on a path to university scholarships and elite level sports!

The SLAM International campus boasts top-notch 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses, and a driving range. Among our varied sports programs, SLAM offers a Bachelor’s degree in golf along with other vocational golf degrees for youths who would like to pursue this sport professionally. For younger students, we also have a Golf School and organize tournaments for all ages.

Meet the founder of SLAM International

"After more than two decades in the field of education setting up and managing Spanish schools, Enrique felt that an all-rounded educational model was missing. Established in 2018, SLAM International was thus borne out of Enrique José Martín’s, and his co-founder, Juan Antonio’s vision of creating an internationally-minded institute that centers on providing a truly holistic education, in the areas of academics, sports, arts and STEAM. Enrique’s aim was to build a flexible system that would adapt itself to students and their distinctive talents, interests and passions, so that they can reach their full potential.

"At SLAM International, we prioritize the long-term athletic development of the youth. This is why we have partnered with two established institutions in the sports world: the The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Liverpool F.C. to roll out the best programs and sporting activities for our students!

As the Official Partner of the NBA in Spain, SLAM International hosts a series of basketball activities for students attending our institutions and events. SLAM International and the NBA host and organize camps in collaboration that teach the fundamentals of basketball. This program also launched the “NBA SLAM Cup”, a competitive 3x3 tournament for youths aged 11 to 18.

SLAM International has also collaborated with Liverpool Football Club International Academy and the UK’s leading educational awarding body, Pearson, to offer the Extended Diploma in Sports. This diploma is an internationally recognized vocational qualification, aimed at providing a pathway to careers in sports, fitness and physical activity.

SLAM International encourages all our students to take part in competitive and non-competitive sports, not only to develop their sporting abilities and prioritize their physical health, but to foster fundamental life skills such as resilience, leadership, confidence and teamwork.

Our campus has state-of-the-art facilities to support the participation in sports as an integral part of our student life. The area is presented with multiple football fields, a multi-sports center with futsal, handball, volleyball and badminton courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, padel and tennis courts, a golf course (9-hole and 18-hole), a gym, an equestrian center and a lake fully equiped with water sports equipment.

Welcome to SLAM International.

SLAM (Sports, Leadership, Academics/Arts and Management) International is a unique educational institution which offers a dedicated development path for youths who display talent and interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts and Mathematics) and sports. SLAM International was founded as an initiative of the educational group, Grundstein Educational Management (Grundstein Gestión Educativa), which manages multiple schools across Spain and has more than 7,700 Spanish and International students.

An institution of the future, SLAM espouses a holistic educational philosophy which celebrates expression and discovery. Through a vibrant learning environment and personalized education programs suited to each student, we aim to nurture students’ talents, leadership, self-confidence and sense of social responsibility. At SLAM International, we want to create a conducive space where youths can pursue their individual interests and realize their full potential in whatever they choose to do.

SLAM International consists of SLAM Boot Camps, our series of boot camp programs for youths to develop their athletic and intellectual abilities, SLAM School, our international school for students aged 11-18 years old, and SLAM University, our university integrated with the school campus which offers forward-looking postgraduate programs.

Meet our horse, Duquesa (Spanish for Duchess), who resides in the horse stable at our Equestrian Center located inside the SLAM International campus. As part of our curriculum which integrates high performance sports, we make available to our students the SLAM Equestrian School, where they can either learn horse-riding for their own enjoyment or pursue it seriously to become an advanced equestrian.
