Chinese Oral will be on 12 & 13 August 2026. That’s about 7 months from now — it may feel far away now, but it will come very quickly.

Many children only start practising in July… and that’s when panic sets in. Oral is 25% of PSLE Chinese, and it’s actually the most trainable part — if your child starts early.

Today is the Winter Solstice (冬至 dōng zhì), a significant day in the 24 solar terms calendar. It's the shortest day and longest night of the year, marking a special time for families to come together.

A key custom (习俗 xí sú) for many during Dongzhi is to enjoy tangyuan (汤圆 tāng yuán) – these yummy, round glutinous rice balls symbolize reunion (团圆 tuán yuán) and completeness. There’s nothing quite like gathering with loved ones, sharing a bowl of warm tangyuan, and creating precious memories.
