The forecast said rain, the stage said “slip-and-slide,” but the spirit of the Singapore Heritage Fest said “the show must go on!” 🌧️✨
Performing at the regal Asian Civilisations Museum was a dream, even if the weather decided to add its own special effects. There is something incredibly grounding about dancing amidst history while the clouds are putting on a performance of their own.

• Krishna Nee Begane Baro: .harishankar.7 - Deepa Harishankar and .kk -Amritha Vinu brought Krishna’s naughty antics to life—and honestly, trying to keep our balance on a wet stage felt like a mischief Krishna would’ve planned himself! 👣

• Karukare Karmukil: As the skies darkened, this Mohiniyattam piece presented by - Archana Antony, - Subasree .menon.720 - Sunitha and - Sushma
felt like the perfect, soulful conversation with the rain. ☁️🌿

• Dhanasri Thillana: We closed the night with a Jugalbandhi that (thankfully) ended on our feet and on a high note by - Beula - Haritha Haridas - Anjana Sherith and Deepa Harishankar! 🥁

World Dance Day 2026 proved to be a satisfying and heartwarming one as Medasvi’s senior dancer .harishankar.7 - Deepa Harishankar’s rhythmic footsteps and sublime Abhinaya mesmerised the audience at the Pathaka Playground organised by along with other enchanting performances by 8 other Bharatanatyam dancers from around Singapore. Truly a lovely evening. Kudos to and team for organising such a special event.
