Hello everyone. I wanted to share something about Comprehension skills. Comprehension is an area in which students often wonder how is it that my answer seems correct but I didn't get any marks?🤔

One of the most common reasons is that your answer is not direct and/or it's not detailed enough.

For example, if someone asks me what did I have for lunch?

I can answer by saying that I bought some local food from the hawker centre.

But is my answer direct and detailed?

No.

The answer should be something like I ate some fried rice for lunch.

This answer is clear and detailed. :)

Hope this simple example, will help you ace your comprehension!

Hi everyone! Here is an exam tip: Do not ignore the questions that you are sure about.

Many times I have noticed students making careless mistakes as they use too much time trying to solve the challenging questions.

They end up not having much time to check the questions that they are sure about.

Time management is crucial. :)

The ICE strategy is a simple yet effective way to write compositions.

I stands for Impact. It is important that the storyline is impactful. We should always plan for our story to be impactful.

C stands for Characterisation. Creating mutli-layered characters makes our stories engaging!

E stands for Emotional depth. Focusing on how the main characters are feeling is essential to write a good story!
