The past year has been a long road for Allen to redevelop his squat. Really happy that we are able to arrive at this current milestone, and hopefully to continue taking this further.
From my perspective:
Working with someone like that who I categorise as an extremely cautious lifter, the considerations on how the program was organised was not only on how I could physically prepare him to return to squatting. It was also around how we could stack the wins in a smooth way that builds his build confidence, so that he starts making bolder decisions in training with the belief that things are actually possible.

This week on check-in calls, I spoke to a lifter anout their bracing.
The slack pull has been one of the most discussed topics around the deadlift. Most lifters are taught to emphasise it from the moment they start learning to deadlift.
However, it can take away from the lifter's ability to stay extended and in position.
