The benefit of being a trainer is the advantage of learning from your peers who are expert in their own field.

Teaching a new topic can be a daunting but it is also a way for educator like me to embrace the concept of growth.

TPV Prison Volunteers was started as a Toastmasters Club for Prison Officers to improve their communication and leadership skills.

Despite the interest group's closure, the management saw the potential impact on the inmates and hence Toastmasters Prison Volunteers were formed to run education programmes for the incarcerated focusing on communication skills for self-confidence and relationship building.

It's been more than 20 years since the group was formed and last weekend was a rare occasion where the volunteers reunited at Toastmasters District 80 Convention.

To all the teachers, trainers, coaches out there..

Came across this and felt that as educators, we need a reminder from time to time about the importance of our role to help individuals in their growth. Very often, we can be caught up with administration or emotions (frustrated with learners, systems, etc)

That one time when I decided to check Google Reviews 🤣🤣🤣

When I was a new trainer, I would often review the feedback forms for self-improvements. Being a sensitive soul, sometimes I feel hurt cos I have given my best, but some learners felt that their expectations weren't met.

After teaching more than 1,000 adult learners, I'm more confident of what I can deliver as a trainer and use classroom participation as a benchmark of learner's satisfaction instead.

It gave me laughter and smiles when I decided to check through the reviews left by my students during the weekend for Essential Selling Skills.

On this last day of 2022, we would like to thank our training partners for the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of learners.

And to all our learners, may you continue to grow in knowledge, skills, health, and wealth.
