We are spending the evening in Hulhumalé, a spectacular reclaimed island that was engineered to counteract climate change and rising sea levels. Because it's designed with careful urban planning (originally shaped with the help of experts from Singapore! 🇲🇻 💙 🇸🇬), it has beautiful wide streets, parks, and distinct phases designed for sustainable living.
Seeing the kids explore the sand and watch the local traffic zoom by makes you realize how connected we all are by engineering and imagination.
