Great to see the update on Block 1 East Coast Road — a place with many memories for the community of Siglap/ Joo Chiat.

We are supporting the upcoming engagement process to gather residents’ views, through a mix of small group engagement workshops, co-creation session and a public pop-up session.

If you’ve lived, are living, or have memories of the area, and would like to be involved, feel free to reach out!

How do you design public spaces that people actually use — and care about?

Last year, we worked with West Coast Town Council to reimagine neighbourhood spaces in Jurong West (Nanyang Division), across three NRP zones.

We didn’t start with solutions.
We started on the ground.

From void decks to town squares, we engaged residents where they already are — gathering real, lived insights through conversations, focus groups, and simple but powerful tools.

Clear priorities emerged:
🔗 Better connectivity and safer movement
🌿 Cleaner, more comfortable environments
🏙️ Stronger neighbourhood identity

We translated these into practical design strategies — improving pathways, upgrading amenities, and shaping more community-centric spaces.

But beyond the interventions, the real impact is this:

When residents are part of the process,
they don’t just use the space — they take ownership of it.

At Rhindon, we don’t just run engagement.

We translate lived experiences into spatial strategies that agencies can act on — bridging community insight with real, implementable outcomes.
