Trapped dogs of Pasir Ris Park

Between the 12th and the 18th of May 6 dogs, stray dogs disappeared from the Camp Area 3 BBQ Pit 64 Area at Pasir Ris Park. These dogs were trapped by a trapper hired by NParks in response to complaints made by the general public that the dogs were a nuisance to them in some way.
The trapper erected a large enclosure (see photo's) that had a sign attached that said "This structure is part of an exercise to rehome stray dogs. For your own safety, please do not disturb." After trapping the dogs were transported to AVA to be "rehomed." The stray dogs trapped were deemed unsuitable for rehoming so the feeder for these dogs had to arrange their own plan to save the dogs.
One female puppy was rescued by the feeder after the AWG SOSD came to assist. See photo of Sandy now fostered at feeders home.
One male black and white male dog (boarder collie mix) was rescued when AWG OSCAS came to assist. See photo of this dog now boarding at the kennel of OSCAS.
Three dogs remained and it was a big struggle for two weeks to try and save them. We were informed by AVA they would be put to sleep if we could not find and AWG or Kennel to board them.
The final three dogs had injuries and medical conditions and will require ongoing treatment for some time.
Thankfully many wonderful people from the Pasir Ris Park Stray Dog Community worked so hard ringing and emailing NParks and AVA and some deals were made. We raised enough money to bail and board the dogs at a safe kennel where they are now resting and starting their new life. Waffles, Buddy and Mr Jenkins are from the same pack and run together in the freedom of Pasir Ris Park areas that include the beach. they were happy and free until they were trapped and now they are caged in a kennel. We are going to work hard to rehabilitate them and rehome to wonderful people so they can be happy for the rest of their lives.
We are united in making a change to give the stray dogs at Pasir Ris Park Area their freedom. We are working with AVA and NParks, the wider community and stray feeders. Harmony and balance in nature require commitment and dedication.
AVA has promised that in June 2018 they would roll out a Singapore wide Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) program to control and manage stray dogs. The Saving Stray Dogs of Pasir Ris Park are focused on implementing the TNR program as soon as possible. Join us in our quest to save these dogs.
