A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting .sverige in the studio for a team building workshop based on collaboration, culture and clay play. The energy in this group is brilliant 👍

Yesterday we had our unboxing ceremony at the Växjö office during a two day Hackathon event🥁 Despite the fact that most of these guys had never worked with the clay, their mugs are little works of art - put to the test immediately with their wide array of office bevs.

Each team member had a hand in helping to produce the building blocks, ultimately crafting their own individual piece; the whole represented in the individual 🌀

7 WEEKS OF CLAY PLAY ~ Á longer course on demand for those who have caught the clay bug ✌🏼

A 7-week course on Tuesdays (one meeting/week) that builds upon the basics of various handbuilding methods and allows you to practice techniques with repetition and hands-on guidance. In the course, we explore coiling, slab making, working with moulds, different finishing techniques, painting, and glazing. Each session will have a theme, but is open for you to explore in your own way. I can always help with problem-solving, design feedback, and techniques. You can access all the materials and tools you need throughout the ceramics course. Over the course, you can build bowls, mugs, plates, jewellery and vases, but you are also free to play and test out techniques in an open-ended way without a specific end goal.

*This course is best suited to those who have taken a beginner’s course in the studio or elsewhere, who have a basic understanding of clay and methods for working with clay. At the beginning of each course, we will discuss areas we want to learn more about in an open and curious way so that each student has the opportunity to grow in their practice.

A 5-week course on Wednesdays (one meeting/week) that covers the important basics of hand building with clay. Afterwards, you can access the Open Studio sessions to continue playing and developing your skills freely. In the course, we cover coiling, slab making, working with moulds, different finishing techniques, painting, and glazing. At the beginning of each session, I actively give guidance so that you feel confident in your creation and during the second half you are given the freedom to test techniques on your own. I can always help with problem-solving, design feedback, and techniques. You can access all the materials and tools you need throughout the ceramics course. Over the course, you can build bowls, mugs, plates, jewellery and vases, but you are also free to play and test out techniques in an open-ended way without a specific end goal.

A weekend intensive for those who want an introduction to ceramic basics or as a refresher. The course runs Saturday – Sunday from 13:00 – 17:30 and will start with an introduction to the studio and to basic handbuilding techniques that we will practice over the two days together. Saturday will be focussed on testing out techniques and Sunday is meant to be more free play with what you have learned in the first session. We meet again one week later on Saturday afternoon to glaze your pieces.

Three sessions: Introduction to Making: Saturday and Sunday: 13.00 – 17.30, Finishing and Glazing: Saturday 13:00- 15:00.

A special afterwork session focused on lighting up the darkness of the coming winter ~ together we will make candle holders of all kinds 🔥 Find your inspiration during the session or bring some ideas with you - Leah will help you realize them.

A workshop for all skill levels and those who want to experience a calm and creative afterwork by themselves, with a friend, or in a group. Possibly one of the autumn’s cosiest workshops!

Turning TWO can you believe it?!

TOMORROW September 13th we’re throwing our collective two year birthday bash at MONO skivbutik ✨🌻

The studio will be open for donation-based clay play so come on down, make a little thing, touch some ancient minerals, take a time out from the concerts and general hoo-hah in the store and meet your local ceramics studio in the record shop.

Music all night, folk öl on tap, food and fun community vibes are what you can expect in store 🙏🏼
