This morning, the SCAS Fellows visit Linnaeus’ Hammarby, the summer home of Carl Linnaeus and his family.
The small estate, located 15 km south-east of Uppsala, was bought by Carl Linnaeus in 1758 and still reflects his private life as well as his scientific work.

- Constructive Advanced Thinking (CAT) Programme 2027–2029 -
The CAT programme supports small, interdisciplinary teams of early-career researchers working collaboratively on current or emerging societal challenges through a series of short, funded stays at Institutes for Advanced Study (IASs) across Europe. The programme is designed to provide time, space, and intellectual exchange for the development of innovative ideas, interdisciplinary collaboration, and potential future research initiatives and funding applications.
The primary target group are early-career researchers based at universities or research institutions who work collaboratively in small interdisciplinary teams on current or emerging societal challenges.
Application deadline: 13 September 2026
This is an initiative of the Network of European Institutes for Advanced Study (NetIAS).
