Listen to last year participant Tim's take-aways from the trip, he graduated from Umeå universitet last year and today he is a member of our board.

"Before this trip, I had no idea of how far Chinese companies have come in innovation, technology and how they have managed to implement this in the everyday life of Chinese citizens. They are truly living in the digital era, and we are behind. That is something that you really get to learn when you are visiting China. It's incredible!"

Thank you so much for your energy and your curiosity of China, we wish you all the best and looking forward to following your future career 🎉

Jonathan Lannö from Karlstads universitet was one of the participants in last years edition of Explore China. He was especially fascinated by two things; the size and the speed.

"In China, things it is moving so fast and it is getting so big in a way that is very hard for a Swedish person like me to understand".

Besides school is a Project Manager at Bzzt Stockholm, the startup that he has been part of starting. The three wheeled electric taxi pods in Stockholm’s inner city has been mentioned in both World Economic Forum and .

Jonathan is happy to talk about numbers to the companies in China, Bzzt can proudly say they have created job opportunities for almost 80 people in Stockholm so far and more than 75 000 people have traveled with Bzzt during the first year 🚕

Hi 👋 we are NBH. This is the team behind the leading Chinese marketing agency in the Nordics.

2018 was an exciting year for us! We ran fast, and each of us individually stand behind the creation of our exceptional team. What we saw during 2018 was an increase in Nordic companies entering the Chinese digital landscape and started to build their brand towards their Chinese audience. Shopping malls, destinations, airports, museums, restaurant in the Nordics started with WeChat and Weibo marketing to attract their Chinese audience. In addition to that, companies in Sweden now start offering Alipay on-site, to increase their sales.

2019 will be the year where advancement in digital presence will take place for our clients. For example, we started this year with our first Chinese New Year influencer campaign for one of our clients. And besides campaigns, mini-programs on WeChat will add on to the digital presence. 2019 will be a fun year and we’re ready to run faster.

Are you running with us?! 🤩💯 @ Shanghai, China

It took our students two days to realise that China is a complex country and that a both/and perspective in combination with tons of questions is needed to get a grasp of how it works.

Felix , participant of last years programme, had the focus on the view of work/life balance, Value-based leadership and stress. He left China convinced that a huge amount of people will be suffering from stress related problems in a nearby future.

What do you think?

He laughed all the way to the bank after selling his company for $6 billion. We are thrilled to inform that participants of Explore China 2019 also will meet the founder of Tantan, Yu Wang.

Tantan, with 7 million daily active users, is the Chinese version of Tinder and we can't wait to hear co-founder Yu Wang share his story on how they started.

In August last year, he gave us some valuable tips on how you should build your dating profile, with the right amount of pictures and the caption for finding your perfect match. In China, a picture with a cat-filter, or an actual cat, increases your chances for a swipe to the right.

What questions do you want to ask the dating king of China? ♥️ Tantan

Last year participant Axel Ingo from KTH Royal Institute of Technology is walking around in a snowy Stockholm telling his story of being a part of last year programme of . During the trip to China he learned three valuable things he'd like to share with you:

First one, how far ahead China are of us when it comes to digital and internet innovations. The question is not whether or not we are ahead, but how far behind we actually are.

His second point comes down to how well China are using digital ecosystems to boost the currently ideas that they have, and also make it easier for consumers to adopt new features.

And finally it's about the market and the size of the market, and how powerful an internet community of 800 million user actually is when you have a digital business idea.

What do you think you can learn from China?

Thank you for being a part of the programme, we are very proud of you and wish you all the best as a trainee at Acando Sverige 🎉

Last year participant Elias from Lunds universitet is telling his story of being a part of . During the trip to China he learned three valuable lessons he'd like to share with you:

1. The speed of business in China.

2. The second was the scale; how huge the market is. It is very hard to understand if you haven't been there, talked to them and seen it with your own eyes.

3. How the lower class is now going to middle class and the middle class is going to upper class- It is a huge shift in the math from manufacturing to consuming and being a relevant factor in the world market.

What do you think you can learn from China?

Thank you for being a part of last year programme, you are amazing! 🎯
