What is a victim mindset?
It's the belief that the hurt experienced comes from a source outside of oneself.
The effects of holding victim consciousness are blame, projection, protection of self, fear, mistrust of others, and powerlessness.
This mindset created suffering.
The mainstream mindset operates from victim consciousness, and we have commonly been raised on this belief system.
When we do therapy work or inner work, we need to move from a victim mindset to access true healing. If therapy is done through a victim mindset, we will not release the hurt, but only emposer it.
• Are you experiencing life from a victim consciousness?
• Do you feel hurt, disempowered, and angry at others?
• Are you ready to shift, take ownership of your story, and heal?
Contact me to find out more about how to do this work. You can absolutely shift and change your life, regardless of your history.

Take some time to reflect on your answers:
• What does it mean for you?
• Save the answers for next year to look back on a year from now and see how far you've come.
By doing this, you won't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others or focusing on where you're not - and this creates nourishment for your growth.
Tag someone you want to do this with, or who you think would like the exercise.
I wish you all a healthy and peaceful start to the new year ⭐️ 🫶🏼 💚 and may 2023 continue to bring forth expansion, growth and joy.

Sometimes, wearing a mask is the only way we know how to go about our day. Or we've been told to "suck it up" or "be positive"..
Sometimes, we don't have the time or space to feel fully, so we compartmentalize to be able to keep on going through the day. But later on, it's important to take the mask of, reflect, feel, and maybe share with someone how you are really doing.
Tip: Healing happens in the presence of an empathetic witness - find someone you trust and can be yourself with and let your mask down.

These feelings and changes are real, and it's important to speak up and communicate more.
It is important to counter the self-criticism of the inner critic, with the self compassion of the inner coach.
It's ok to be confused.
It's ok to not have it all figured out, but guess what..
You will figure it out.
Stick with the Process, it will be worth it.

You'll face the same pattern over and over again until you break it.
You'll encounter resistance to test your will and perseverance. The process might be testing, challenging, and uncomfortable, this is just growing pains. Remember this:
What you resist persists - Carl Jung
The only way to truly break patterns and heal is to feel and process all the feelings. This is what being human is all about.
Be self compassionate.
Be kind to yourself.
Don't rush your process.
Stay committed.
You got this!

Do any of these sound familiar?
It is important to increase/ raise awareness around how you typically act/ react so that you can understand your behaviors rather than judge och criticize.
Start with identifying your needs and implement boundaries.
Know that it is ok to struggle and feel challenging emotions when you start out - this is growing pains and a reaction to coming out of your comfort zone eventhough it doesn't serve you.
Do one change every day and notice your thoughts and emotions. Journal them down and give yourself some time to pause and reflect.
Change takes time and is a process, keep going.

Psychotherapy isn't just talk therapy. It's about bringing history, experiences and feelings up to the surface so that the client can fully integrate and fully feel emotions in order to process and create a new path moving forward.
This is why I call therapy "doing the work" because it can be hard work, and a bumpy one too, but it's a continuous process.

The school system is still outdated, and unfortunately we are not taught from an early age what it means to self-care or understand our own feelings.
My clients are from all walks of life, ages and various backgrounds but what's often common is that they've lacked that emotional awareness and understanding of themselves, and that they want to learn how to show up for themselves and be authentic.
I wish we learned the real valuable skills, early on, that would help us navigate in this life and show up for ourselves more authentically and real.
