A Humbling Experience 🌑🕌

Alhamdulillāh, yesterday I had the honour of leading Salāt al-Kusūf (the solar eclipse prayer) for the first time in my life.

It was a truly humbling sight and a powerful reminder of the Greatness and Power of Allah ﷻ.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

«“The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah… So when you see them, hasten to prayer.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 1058»

An eclipse reminds us that the sun, moon and entire creation are under Allah’s command. It is an opportunity to pause, reflect, pray, make duʿā, seek forgiveness and strengthen our connection with Allah.

May Allah ﷻ accept our prayers, forgive our shortcomings and increase us in īmān. Āmīn. 🤲
