🔵 An open lecture from the Pharmaceutical Training Unit

The macromolecule that carries genetic information, DNA, is considered as an exceptional unique target for variety of diseases . 🧬

Over years ,
Infectious diseases affect millions of people around the world🦠 to find anti-infective agents on the lookout, but with the increasing resistance of microbes to available drugs, new ways have been thought and found to overcome this. 💡

🔷Minor groove is the target of a large number of binding agents ( Minor Groove Inhibitors ) that could be instrumental for improvements in the drug design and synthesis . These work by acting on the DNA minor groove with ability to disrupt protein–DNA interactions and have found application in the treatment of many diseases, including cancer, parasitic, bacterial and viral infections.

It can be challenging to stay current with new advances in an effort to understand the nooks and crannies of minor groove binders, and who better to learn it from than the experts themselves?

في زمن كثُرت فيه الأمراض و ظهرت فيه المقاومة لبعض الأدوية المتوفرة ،أصبحت هناك حوجة للبحث عن أدوية جديدة ،أو تطوير الأدوية الموجودة و اكتشاف أغراض جديدة لها.

🔹سابقا، كان اكتشاف الأدوية يقوم على عملية الفرز العشوائي للنباتات و الكائنات الحية الدقيقة ؛للوصول إلى مُركبات فعّالة حسّنت و أنقذت حياة كثير من الأشخاص حول العالم ،لكن مع تطور العلوم و دخول التقنيات الحديثة أصبحت عملية اكتشاف و تصميم الأدوية أكثر فعالية،و أقل استهلاكا للوقت و الجهد!.📈

كيف يُمكن ل أن يساعدنا في الأبحاث و تطوير المنتجات؟✍️

🔹"أخذُ الوقت في تصميم تجربةٍ مُعينة قبل تنفيذها يُساعد في تقليل المشاكل الشائعة في تحليل الأبحاث".

من هذه الفكرة بدأ عصر في بدايات القرن الماضي في مجال الزراعة ثم امتد إلى الصناعة ،حتى وصل إلى بناء الجودة على المنتج في التصنيع الصيدلاني.🏭

🔹تقوم الأبحاث غالبا على وضع فرضية معينة ،ثم اختبارها للإجابة عن سؤال البحث ،وفي ذلك يمكننا استخدام التجارب التي تعتمد على قياس تغير عدد من العوامل.
إذن ، كيف يمكننا تحديد العوامل التي تؤثر على نتيجة التجربة ،معرفة هل تتفاعل العوامل المختلفة مع بعضها في تأثيرها على النتيجة ،ثم في تحسينها؟🤔
🔹هنا يأتي دور تصميم التجارب الذي يُمثل طريقة منهجية فعّالة في دراسة العلاقة بين العديد من المتغيرات المُدخلة و مُخرجات التجربة بإستخدام عدد من البرامج الحاسوبية ؛ليمكننا من الوصول إلى النتيجة بأقل تكلفة ووقت!🤩

🔹و هذا ما جعله يُستخدم في عدد من المجالات منها:الطب ،الزراعة ،الأحياء، الأبحاث التسويقية و الإنتاج الصناعي ،أما عن أهميته لنا كصيادلة ،فهو في بناء الجودة على المنتج الصيدلاني بدلا من الاكتفاء باختباره في النهاية فحسب؛للوصول إلى منتج فعال و آمن بأقل تكلفة ووصول سريع إلى السوق الدوائية.

Design of Experiment approach in Pharmaceutical Development✍

🔹Innovations that took years of research and studies can now be achieved in months, even weeks! How?

🔹Design of Experiment (DoE), a systematic efficient method that enables scientists to study the relationship between multiple input variables (factors) and key output variables (responses). In other words, the means of achieving process knowledge, through the establishment of mathematical relationships and statistical analysis.🤩

🔹DoE allows you to have a detailed plan to utilize data and identify casual relationships as well as giving you a fair shot in detecting effects and testing hypotheses that answer your research question! 🔵The Pharmaceutical Training Unit (PTU ) is a recent Unit in The Faculty Of Pharmacy University of Khartoum established in 2017 .We , in the PTU, are aware that successful career is a fruit of continual pursuit of knowledge and boosted skills . Regarding all these , we take the moral commitment of offering a wide range of training that satisfies the recommendations of performance appraisals. 🌐
🔷Our endeavour is to Provide excellent training that meets the needs of pharmacists and other health care professionals , this is by performing numerous workshops led by highly competent specialist staff.

🔷Participants also have the vantage of getting certificates issued by the Unit , approved and signed by the Academic Secretariat Affairs _ U Of K
