In this video, we explain ECMO in a clear, clinically focused manner, starting from core physiology and moving through real-world application. The lecture covers the difference between ventilation and oxygenation, why mechanical ventilation fails in severe lung injury, and how ECMO takes control of gas exchange outside the body.
