y areas, equipped with the best in class educational toys. Poonam Verma, is a veteran of the teaching profession, who began her career in the field of education and training more than 40 years ago. Her compassion and commitment to the profession has proven itself in the 18 years spent at the International School of Seychelles, teaching across sections and subjects. Prior to this, she worked in varying capacities with the Ministry of Education of Seychelles as well as having been head of the Montessori Department in a coveted school of India. Her training and education spans verticals of the teaching profession, and students who have had the privilege of spending their formative years under the guidance and teaching of Mrs. Verma, have had a visibly higher success rate in achieving their academic and extra-curricular goals.

Today, we celebrate the strength, kindness, and dedication of women in our school community and beyond. On International Women’s Day, we take a moment to recognise and appreciate the many women who nurture, guide, inspire, and support the next generation.

At our school, the day was made even more special thanks to a thoughtful gesture from one of our parents and PTA members, Nathalie Choppy, who gifted a rose to each of our teachers. 🌹

It was a beautiful moment of appreciation, reminding us of the importance of recognising the women who shape our children’s lives every day. Thank you, Nathalie, for this kind and meaningful gesture.

Parent–Teacher Meeting – Thank You Parents!

We successfully completed our Parent–Teacher Meetings this week (Monday to Friday) with almost 100% parent attendance across all classes. Thank you for your strong support and involvement.

Parents shared valuable feedback in the class comment books, and we have carefully reviewed all comments and made plans to address important matters.

All student marks are available on Google Classroom.
If you need assistance accessing them, please contact Ms. Akhila, Ms. Uma, or the school office.

Staff Professional Development – First Aid Training.

At our school, we are committed to the continuous professional growth and development of our staff. As part of this commitment, we recently organised a one-day First Aid training workshop for all class teachers to refresh and strengthen their skills in handling day-to-day injuries and emergency situations with confidence and professionalism.

The workshop was led by Mr. Lazy, Judith, and an Occupational Health Nurse from JBL Medic and Services. Our teachers actively participated in both practical and theoretical sessions, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication to student safety.

All participating staff members were successfully certified, with certificates valid for two years (until 2028). This training further enhances our ability to provide a safe and caring environment for our students every day.

A big thank you to our trainers and staff for their commitment and active participation!

What a Magical Christmas Celebration at Our School!

Our Christmas production this year was nothing short of beautiful. From the moment you walked into the hall, the sparkle of the lights, the colourful costumes, and the joyful atmosphere created by our Primary and Lower Secondary students made the whole place feel truly festive.

We were deeply honoured to welcome the First Lady of our beautiful islands, Mrs Veronique Herminie along with Mr. Meriton, former Vice President, and the Principal Secretary for Culture,Cecille Kalebi(Bethany's mom). Their presence made the day even more special for our school community.

The children opened the programme with sweet and uplifting Christmas carols, followed by energetic dance and song performances that filled the hall with excitement. Watching them shine on stage—confident, happy, and dressed in their bright costumes—was a heart-warming moment for everyone present.

Our students proudly displayed their creations at the Christmas Cards Exhibition. The day ended with a cheerful Christmas party, with delicious treats kindly prepared by our wonderful parents.

A big, warm thank you to the First Lady for spending the afternoon with us, and to all parents, students, and staff for contributing to such a joyful and memorable event.

From yoga and nature walks, to art & craft, treasure hunts, swimming, music Fridays, fun learning sessions, and outdoor play — every day is designed to be joyful, structured, and meaningful for children.

Trotters Stop Early Childhood Christmas Production 2025!

What a precious and magical afternoon we had with our little stars!
Our tiny tots brought Christmas to life with their colourful outfits, happy smiles, and adorable performances that melted every heart in the room.

We started with the cutest little fashion show, where our toddlers proudly walked the stage, showing off their festive dresses, tiny bow ties, sparkly shoes, and all their Christmas charm.

Each class then sang their very own Christmas carol, with tiny voices ringing like little bells — so sweet and full of joy! And of course, the Christmas dance and song that followed had everyone clapping and cheering for our brave little performers.

The stage looked just like a Christmas fairytale — twinkling lights, bright colours, a shiny Christmas tree in the corner, and our friendly reindeer watching over the show. It truly felt like a magical world made just for our babies.

And our parents… your smiles said it all! Watching you enjoy every moment made the day even more special.

A big big thank you to our darling little ones — you made this Christmas sparkle a little brighter!

A Special Visit at Our School!

We were thrilled to welcome visitors from the Second Regional Workshop on Early Childhood Care and Education, held here in Seychelles! Our guests included representatives and the Head of the Early Childhood Department from the UAE, along with participants from Syria and other Middle Eastern countries.

They loved spending time in our classrooms—interacting with the children, joining activities, and talking with our teachers. They were truly impressed by the dedication of our staff, the engaging programs, and the warm and disciplined environment we maintain.

Our visitors were especially interested in our EYFS curriculum and the way we organize learning spaces. They appreciated the openness of our school and the enthusiasm of our little learners.

It was a wonderful experience to share our work with them, and we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the creativity and joy of learning at our school!

🎃 A Spooktacular Halloween at Trotters Stop! 👻

We had such a fantastic Halloween celebration at school today!

Our teachers worked late yesterday to transform the school with decorations, and this morning it felt truly magical. As the children walked through the main gate, their faces lit up with excitement — we heard so many happy “Wows!” Parents and teachers were quick to capture those priceless moments.

The day was filled with fun games, creative activities, and lots of laughter. After lunch, the children enjoyed dancing to Halloween-themed music — it was wonderful watching them move, giggle, and enjoy the atmosphere.

A huge thank you to all our parents who contributed sweets and goodies for trick-or-treating. The costumes and masks were fantastic — spooky, clever, and full of imagination!

At the end of the day, our PTA helped collect all the sweets into one big box, and each child got to take home a handful (or two!). We decided to save the treats until after school — the little ones already had plenty of Halloween excitement in them!

It was a day filled with joy, creativity, and true community spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special.
