On Friday, 29th May 2026, the Peace and Diplomacy Research Institute (PDRI) team attended the official launching ceremony of the Mont Fleuri Secondary School Peace Club. This milestone forms part of the results of the project titled Promoting Peaceful Coexistence and Conflict Resolution Strategies in Primary and Secondary Schools in Seychelles, implemented by PDRI with support from the Seychelles National Commission for UNESCO.

The initiative seeks to empower learners with the values, attitudes, and skills necessary to promote peaceful coexistence, dialogue, empathy, tolerance, and mutual respect within schools and communities. Through the establishment of Peace Clubs, students are encouraged to lead conversations and initiatives that foster understanding, conflict resolution, and positive social change.
