In English, nouns and pronouns take three main forms (or cases) depending on their job in a sentence [1]:

1️⃣ **Nominative Case**: Use this when the pronoun is the subject of a verb or a predicate nominative [2].
✅ *Example*: "Did **he** and **she** design the Web site?" [3]

2️⃣ **Objective Case**: Use this for direct objects, indirect objects, and objects of a preposition (like the words "between" or "except") [2, 4].
✅ *Example*: "No one except Oscar and **him** speaks Spanish" [4].

*(Hint: This is why we say "Between you and* ***me***" *instead of "I" [4]!)*

3️⃣ **Possessive Case**: Use words like *mine, yours, hers,* or *theirs* to show ownership [5].
✅ *Example*: "I believe these books are **theirs**" [5].
