The Prophet ﷺ said, “The upper hand is better than the lower hand.” The upper hand is the one that gives, while the lower hand is the one that receives.
Islam promotes dignity, hard work, and self-reliance. A believer should strive to work, earn a lawful livelihood, and aim to be among those who support others rather than rely on them. If someone is genuinely in difficulty, seeking assistance is allowed and there is no blame in real need.
However, asking, demanding, or putting pressure on people while one is able to work is not in accordance with the Sunnah.
Turn to Allah first. Use the lawful means available to you. Protect your dignity.

🌿 Your Children Are Either Your Sadaqah… Or Your Trial
Raising children is not easy. It is tiring, emotionally heavy, and sometimes heartbreaking. Many parents suffer deep pain because of the behavior of their own children.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله explains a profound reality: “Whoever neglects teaching his child what benefits him and leaves him without guidance has done him the worst possible injustice. And most children are corrupted because of their parents — due to neglect and failure to teach them the obligations of the religion.” (Tuhfat al-Mawdud bi Aḥkam al-Mawlud)
“They ruined them when they were young, so they neither benefited themselves when grown, nor benefited their parents.” (Tuhfat al-Mawdud)
⚖️ Example of Two Fathers:
When Maqatil bin Sulayman was asked to advise Amir al-Muminin Mansur, He said:
“Listen, O Commander of the Faithful! ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz had eleven sons, and he left behind only eighteen dinars. Of these, five dinars were used for his shroud and four dinars to purchase his grave, and the rest were given among his sons. And Hisham ibn ʿAbd al-Malik also had eleven boys — when he died, he left ten lakh (1,000,000) dinars for each boy.
By Allah, O Commander of the Faithful, I saw one son of ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz giving 100 horses in charity for the sake of Allah, and I saw a son of Ḥisham begging in the marketplaces.” (Narrated in historical works of Zuhd and Tārikh)
🕊️ What Did ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz Leave for His Children?
He said: “I left for them the taqwa (fear) of Allah. If they are righteous, then Allah takes care of the righteous. And if they are not, I do not want to leave them wealth by which they disobey Allah.” (Reported in books of Siyar and Zuhd)
🤲 Make This Dua Daily:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
“Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our children comfort of the eyes and make us leaders of the righteous.” (Qur’ān 25:74)
✅Remember, children are not fixed by money. They are fixed by dua, taqwa, and parents returning to Allah.

🛑 Imam Ahmed (ra) Regarding Music:-
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: With regard to the view of Imam Ahmed, his son ‘Abd-Allah said: "I asked my father about singing. He said: Singing makes hypocrisy grow in the heart; I do not like it. Then he mentioned the words of Malik: the evildoers (fasiqs) among us do that." [Ighathat al-Lahfan]

🛑Imam Malik (ra) Regarding Music:-
Imam Malik was asked about playing the drum or flute, if a person happens to hear the sound and enjoy it whilst he is walking or sitting. He said: "He should get up if he finds that he enjoys it, unless he is sitting down for a need or is unable to get up. If he is on the road, he should either go back or move on". [al-Jami’ by al-Qayrawani, 262]. He said: “The only people who do things like that (that is enjoy music), in our view, are fasiqs.” [Tafsir al-Qurtubi, 14/55]

🛑Imam al-Shafi (ra) Regarding Music:-
Ibn al-Qayyim said, explaining the view of Imam al-Shafi'i: "His companions who know his madhhab (point of view) stated that it is haram and denounced those who said that he permitted it (music)". [Ighathat al-Lahfan, 1/425]

🛑Abu Hanifah (ra) Regarding MUSIC:
Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The madhhab of Abu Hanifah is the strictest in this regard, and his comments are among the harshest. His companions clearly stated that it is haram to listen to all musical instruments such as the flute and the drum, even tapping a stick. They stated that it is a sin which implies that a person is a fasiq (rebellious evil doer) whose testimony should be rejected. They went further than that and said that listening to music is fisq (rebellion, evildoing) and enjoying it is kufr (disbelief). These are their words...". [Ighathat al-Lahfan, 1/425]
🛑We devote much of our lives to following fashion, collecting possessions, and being concerned about how we look. Yet when our journey ends, everyone is wrapped the same way in the grave.
⛔None of your wealth, vehicles, or property will accompany you. What remains with you are your faith and the actions you sent ahead.
🌎Do not allow the shine and attraction of this world to distract you from the truth of the Hereafter.
Allah reminds us of this reality clearly: “And the life of this world is nothing but an enjoyment of deception.” (Qur’an 57:20)

The Prophet ﷺ said that a woman entered Hell because of a cat she confined—she neither fed it nor allowed it to find food on its own. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
This hadith shows that cruelty and injustice, even toward animals, are serious sins in Islam. The woman was punished not for disbelief, but for oppression and lack of mercy toward a helpless creation of Allah.
Islam teaches responsibility, kindness, and accountability in all matters. If injustice toward an animal can lead to punishment, then how much more serious is injustice toward people?
This narration is a strong reminder to fear Allah, act with mercy, and be mindful of every trust placed in our care.
And Allah knows best.

💔Life is short and unpredictable.
In just a blink, everything can change.
A life can be gone, and we are left holding memories, silence, and regrets.
None of us truly knows what tomorrow carries. And that is exactly why we must learn to release ego, anger, and misunderstandings. The small issues we cling to—between family, friends, or colleagues—are never worth the pain they create.
There is no problem that cannot be solved with a calm mind and a sincere conversation. Most conflicts fade away the moment we sit together, speak gently, and try to understand the heart of the other person.
Life is too short for grudges.
Too short for creating distances between loved ones.
Too short to carry anger when a simple “I’m sorry” could bring peace.
Let us value the people around us while we still have them.
Let us speak kindly, forgive quickly, and mend what is broken whenever possible.
Because at the end of the day, nothing holds more weight than the relationships we nurture.
✅The Prophet ﷺ said: “The gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, and Allah forgives every servant who does not associate anything with Him— except the one who has a grudge against his brother. It is said: Delay these two until they make peace.” (Sahih Muslim)
✅The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not hate one another, do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another, but be servants of Allah as brothers. It is not lawful for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three days.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Cherish your loved ones.
Tomorrow is never promised.
