*Isa (as) was made a prophet particularly for bani israel.*

وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِيل
[Surah Āli-ʿImrān: 49]
And a messenger to Children of Israel.

So, if Bani israel (present jews+some christians) are waiting for his return it could be logical, although still a wrong concept.

But the question is why muslims are waiting for Isa (as).

Answer: because they have faith on tafaseer and riwayaat more than the words of Allah. "qur'an". They follow other gods than Allah.

*"یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن سے لوگوں نے کہا کہ تمہارے خلاف بڑی فوجیں جمع ہوگئی ہیں پس ان سے ڈرو ! تو اس بات نے ان کے ایمان میں اور زیادہ اضافہ کردیا اور انہوں نے کہا اللہ ہمارے لیے کافی ہے اور وہی بہترین کارساز ہے*
*پس وہ لوٹ آئے اللہ کی نعمت اور اس کے فضل کے ساتھ ان کو کسی قسم کا بھی ضرر نہ پہنچا اور انہوں نے تو اللہ کی رضا کی پیروی کی اور یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ بڑے فضل کا مالک ہے.*
*یہ شیطان ہے جو تمہیں ڈراتا ہے اپنے ساتھیوں سے تو تم ان سے نہ ڈرو مجھ سے ڈرو اگر تم مؤمن صادق ہو۔"*

3:173-175

When you start losing memory you stop thinking, when you stop thinking you stop reasoning. After that you easily get diverted from truth and leave yourself to get astray.

The only book on earth that overcomes your dementia is Qur'an. It has powerful reminders, wisdom, and healing for those who recite, believe, and reflect.

Allah has commanded every individual human being to reflect upon His book "Qur'an", instead of listening and understanding it from others.

People who constantly rely on the opinions of others gradually weaken their own independent thinking. They habitually follows what others say without reflection, the mind becomes less active in analyzing, questioning, and forming original judgments.
