On Thursday the 20th of February 2020, Sara Village School celebrated its annual Sports Day. Children arrived to school dressed in house colours and gathered in the sports hall where they practiced their team chants and had their faces painted. After parading out onto the school playground, Sports Day began. Throughout the day, children participated in various events including a 60m dash, a sack race, Frisbee golf, and an assault course among other activities. At the close of the day, it was announced that the winning house team would be revealed in assembly on Sunday.
On Sunday, after arriving at assembly eagerly anticipating the results, Blue Team were crowned as this year’s winners. Congratulations to Blue Team and a special thank you to all those year 6 students who helped our PE teacher coordinate the event. Head Girl and Boy, Prefects and House Captains
On Sunday the 8th of September, SVS held an assembly to announce this year’s Head Girl and Boy, to reveal those chosen to be prefects, and also those chosen to be house captains. With so many responsible, conscientious and enthusiastic potential leaders in Year 6, choosing students for these positions of responsibility was particularly difficult this year. Well done to those selected and also to all those who put their names forward.
