Today, the keynote session “Megatopes and Identifying Talent on a Country Level” was conducted as part of the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness – APCG 2026.
In this strategic and forward-looking address, Prof. Albert Ziegler, Chair Professor of Educational Psychology at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, examined how nations can optimally identify and support talent through a learning resource-oriented framework.

The keynote emphasized that talent development is not merely an individual attribute, but the result of dynamic interactions between individual learning resources (such as attention and organismic capacities) and environmental resources (including social structures and infrastructure). Three core systems—response, control, and support—were presented as essential mechanisms for managing and coordinating these resources effectively.

By applying foundational educational principles—such as continuity, the law of the minimum, accessibility, and megatopes—Prof. Ziegler demonstrated how strategic orchestration and monitoring of resources can foster exceptional abilities while promoting equitable opportunities. The session highlighted that well-aligned national talent systems not only empower gifted learners, but also generate long-term social and economic benefits.

ضمن فعاليات المؤتمر الآسيوي التاسع عشر للموهبة والإبداع APCG 2026.

قدّم البروفيسور ألبرت زيغلر رؤية منهجية لتحديد المواهب وإدارتها على مستوى الدولة، مؤكدًا أن تنمية الموهبة تنشأ من التفاعل بين الموارد الفردية وموارد البيئة المحيطة. واستعرض ثلاثة أنظمة أساسية لإدارة هذه الموارد: أنظمة الاستجابة، والتحكم، والدعم.

وأكدت الجلسة أن التنظيم الاستراتيجي للموارد وفق مبادئ تعليمية واضحة يعزز العدالة في الفرص ويدعم التميز، مع تحقيق أثر اجتماعي واقتصادي مستدام للمجتمعات.

ناقشت الجلسة التصور المنهجي للموهبة، مؤكدة أن تنميتها تنشأ من التفاعل الديناميكي بين الفرد وبيئته، وأن تحقيق الإمكانات يتطلب تفعيل الموارد الداخلية كالدافعية والتنظيم الذاتي، إلى جانب الموارد الخارجية مثل الإرشاد والدعم المؤسسي.
كما سلطت الندوة الضوء على نموذج رأس المال التعليمي والتعلمي (ELC)، ودوره في تصميم منظومات داعمة تعزز العدالة والاستدامة في تنمية المواهب، خصوصاً في المجالات العلمية المتقدمة.

واختُتمت الجلسة بالتأكيد على أن تحسين تكامل الموارد الشخصية والبيئية هو المفتاح لإطلاق الإمكانات وتحقيق التميز.

«الازدواجية الاستثنائية ونظرية اللون الأخضر».
ناقشت الجلسة مفهوم الازدواجية الاستثنائية (2e) لدى الطلبة الذين يجمعون بين قدرات معرفية عالية وتحديات نمائية متزامنة، وقدمت إطارًا نظريًا حديثًا يفسّر هذا التداخل من خلال “استعارة اللون الأخضر”، باعتباره دمجًا متكاملًا بين نقاط القوة والتحديات.

وأكدت الندوة أهمية تبني نهج قائم على تنمية المواهب ونقاط القوة، بدلاً من النظر إلى القدرات والتحديات بشكل منفصل، مع التركيز على تصميم برامج تعليمية وعلاجية تراعي هذا التفاعل المعقّد وتدعم النمو الأكاديمي والاجتماعي والعاطفي للطلبة.

Today, on the final day of APCG 2026, the symposium “Twice Exceptionality and the Theory of Green” explored a new framework for understanding learners who demonstrate high cognitive potential alongside neurodevelopmental challenges.

The session introduced the “metaphor of green” as an integrated view of strengths and challenges, emphasizing strength-based, talent-focused approaches in educational programming and support.

ناقشت الجلسة أهمية بناء منظومة علمية وطنية قادرة على استقطاب العلماء والاحتفاظ بهم وتمكينهم، في ظل عالم تتنافس فيه الدول عبر الابتكار والمعرفة. وأكدت أن تحويل الموهبة العلمية إلى ميزة تنافسية مستدامة يتطلب تصميم مؤسسات فعّالة، وآليات تمويل مرنة، وروابط دولية قوية، ومسارات واضحة لتنقل الكفاءات وقياس الأثر طويل المدى.

واختُتمت الجلسة بالتأكيد على أن بناء منظومة علمية متكاملة ليس خياراً، بل ضرورة استراتيجية لتمكين الدول من قيادة الابتكار وتعزيز حضورها العالمي.

Today, on the final day of APCG 2026, the symposium “Harnessing and Developing Scientists' Ecosystems: Talents as a Competitive Advantage” examined how nations can transform scientific talent into sustainable global leadership.

The session emphasized that in a knowledge-driven era, countries must intentionally design ecosystems that attract, retain, and empower scientists—through strong institutions, strategic funding, global partnerships, talent mobility, and long-term impact measurement.

Today at APCG 2026, the symposium “Empowering Gifted Students in Higher Education – A Case Study” brought together leaders from Saudi universities to discuss advancing gifted learners within higher education.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the session highlighted the role of universities in developing human capital and preparing innovative future leaders.

بمشاركة قيادات أكاديمية من جامعات سعودية.

ناقشت الجلسة أطر تنمية المواهب في التعليم الجامعي، وأكدت أن الموهبة عملية تطورية تتعزز بالتكامل بين القدرات الفطرية والدعم المؤسسي والبرامج المنظمة.

واستعرضت تجربة جامعة جدة القائمة على ثلاث مراحل متصاعدة: الإثراء، التميّز، والقيادة، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030 في تمكين رأس المال البشري وبناء اقتصاد معرفي تنافسي.

وأكدت الندوة أهمية توفير بيئات جامعية داعمة، وبرامج نوعية، ومسارات قيادية تمكّن الطلبة الموهوبين من الإبداع والتأثير على المستويين الوطني والعالمي.

Today, on the final day of the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness – APCG 2026, the symposium “Creative Thinking Tests and the Environment: What Really Affects Divergent Thinking Scores?” was held in collaboration with the Arabian Gulf University (AGU).

The session focused on divergent thinking tests as a key tool in creativity assessment, examining how environmental factors shape students’ performance.

School-related influences were also discussed, including testing conditions, timing, prior experiences, memory, explicit prompts like “be creative,” and methods for measuring fluency and originality across verbal and figural tasks.

The symposium concluded by addressing the “creativity gap,” highlighting why students often express greater creativity outside school and emphasizing the need to design learning environments that actively nurture creative potential.

عُقدت اليوم في ختام مؤتمر APCG 2026 ندوة «اختبارات التفكير الإبداعي والبيئة: ما الذي يؤثر حقاً على درجات التفكير التباعدي؟» تقديم جامعة الخليج العربي.

ناقشت الندوة اختبارات التفكير التباعدي والعوامل المنزلية والمدرسية المؤثرة على نتائجها، مثل ترتيب الميلاد، حجم الأسرة، مواقف الوالدين، بيئة الاختبار، توقيت التطبيق، الخبرات السابقة، وتعليمات “كن مبدعاً”، إضافة إلى طرق قياس الطلاقة والأصالة والفروق بين المهام اللفظية والتصورية.

واختُتمت الجلسة بطرح قضية فجوة الإبداع، وتحليل أسبابها، مع التأكيد على أهمية بناء بيئات تعليمية داعمة تُنمّي الإمكانات الإبداعية للطلبة بشكل مستدام.
