Today is March 3rd WORLD HEARING DAY!!

The WHO (World Health Organisation) theme for this year is "Hearing for all". Screen, Rehabilitate and Communicate.

We, as Speech therapists and Audiologists take great pride in creating awareness about Hearing, damage caused and the consequences related to hearing loss.

So this is a small post about how a simple toy like a teddy bear can be used to improve a toddler's overall speech and language development.
Parents can target each area and come up with interesting ideas/activities to engage the child better.

Put your child's toys to good use. And reduce screen time!!!😀🙃

Today is the 9th of February which means its Chocolate Day!! ❤😃Happy chocolate day to all my lovelies. So here's a fun fact about chocolate. Dark chocolate for the win guys. Studies infact have proven that eating chocolate in any form, esp. dark chocolate has been linked to better memory, improvement in attention and basic cognitive/thinking capabilities.

Habitual chocolate intake was related to cognitive performance, measured with an extensive battery of neuropsychological tests.

More frequent chocolate consumption was significantly associated with better performance on the Global Composite score, Visual-Spatial Memory and Organization, Working Memory, Scanning and Tracking, Abstract Reasoning, and the Mini-Mental State Examination
Fun fact again: My mum gave me a chocolate every time I used to go for an exam. She says chocolate helps! It does help I guess Haha😃

So parents, go give your child his/her much needed chocolate bar and thank me later.
