Everyone is requested to write down a little appeal about the current situation in the given space provided. Also ensure that it is only an appeal and not a complaint about any one or any authorities.

Senator Nelson of Wisconsin was disturbed that an issue as important as our environment was not addressed in politics or by the media, he innovated and commenced the first earth day on 22nd April in 1970.
Earth day is celebrated worldwide on 22nd of April annually to promote the understanding of important environmental issues so that people are aware of the critical actions that are taken to protect out planet.
To contribute to this noble cause, girls of IX - XII block participated in the earth day event on the 10th of May,2018. Students of the respective houses planted saplings into pots of colours representing their house - red,blue,green and yellow. The brightly coloured pots were arranged on the school ground.
Principal,Mr.Syed Masood Ahmed along with the chairman Mr.Asif Rameez Daudi, Vice Principal Mrs.Farhadunnissa and HMs of various block appreciated the remarkable efforts of the students.
The good spirit in the students, and the senior cabinet members who organized this event thoughtfully made this episode a huge success.

Labour is the fabled magician’s wand,the philosopher’s stone, and the cap of good fortune.
On 14th May 2018, the girls section of IISJ celebrated labour’s day,also known as “May Day” to venerate the hard work and dedication of the labourers and the non teaching staff towards our school irrespective of their power and position, roles and responsibilities.
The labourers who were 16 in number were all seated on the stage. Our beloved Vice Principal, Mrs.Farhathunnisa, gave a thought - provoking speech about the importance of labour’s day and also shared a story of how a zealous employee always greeted the gaurd of his firm everyday so when he was once locked up, the gaurd came to the rescue only because he realized that the employee hadn’t greeted him while leaving the firm. This gave the audience a source of respect and inspired them to understand the conditions the labourers have to endure each day but still remain cheerful and bright.
The Vice Principal went on to distribute the gifts to the labourers and the non teaching staff .
Finally she paid tribute and honor to the contributions made by the workers towards the upward mobility of the school.
Without a minor doubt, the credit of this whole event goes to the senior cabinet members for planning the event, the Vice Principal for her cooperation and to all the teachers and students who helped the program go smoothly.

For the very first time, IISJ conducted an activity called “Barter Library” 📚 on 18th January 2018 by the Student Cabinet.
We are all aware of how the Barter System works, we give something and in return we get something we need.
In the Barter Library, all students were requested to donate one book. All the books were collected, shuffled, numbered and arranged.
The students were then called to the Makeshift Stage and asked to pick a chit. The book corresponding to the number on the chit was then, the Student’s book.
This activity was aimed at redistribution of books that we, as a block (9-12GS) had.
An active participation of the students was noticed as a total 398 books were re-distributed.

Without ART even the Earth would be just "eh"
Rightly said.
This year, a new corner for Artwork was organized by the Student Cabinet in EDEX.
It comprised of paintings, sketches, calligraphy etc from students of 9-12 GS. A total of 141 submissions were received out of which a few of them have been put up here.
We thank the students wholeheartedly for actively participating.

Patience and determination make an unbeatable combination for success.

These words couldn’t have been truer for the champions who came back home with the Overall Championship after 7 long years.

IISJ was declared the Overall Champion in the IISD auditorium on 31st October 2017 with a lead of 49 points!
Girls won the Athletics Championship for the 6th consecutive year while the Boys also secured 1st Position in Athletics.
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance of the Coaches and hard work of our girls and boys. Hearty Congratulations to all the winners! It has indeed been a proud moment for every IISJian. 🥇

“To the world you maybe a teacher; but to the students you are a superhero”

Teachers Day Celebrations were held in the GS on 1st October 2017.

While the 12th Graders got an opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of teachers; Teachers themselves witnessed a program conducted by the Student Cabinet.
The program consisted of songs, dance, skit and games where all teachers, Headmistresses and Vice Principal got a chance to actively participate and enjoy. A video was shown which comprised of Ex IISJians giving their best wishes to their teachers on the occasion.
Our whole hearted wishes go out to the Teachers who helped us and groomed us in to the people we are today. Happy Teachers Day once again. 🙂

The first phase of the 27th Cluster-meet was hosted by IIS Dammam from 24th September to the 28th. The IISJ GS Basketball team and table tennis team, once again made the school proud with their tremendous effort and spirit.
The zealous basketball team, fought hard and won third position. In table tennis individuals, Tanya of U14 secured Second Position, while the U17 team secured Third Position.
