How Teachers Should Discipline Learners

Discipline with Love, Respect, and Purpose

A teacher's role is not only to teach but also to guide and shape character.

When correcting a learner:

- ✅ Stay calm and listen before reacting.
- ✅ Correct the behavior, not the child's personality.
- ✅ Speak respectfully and privately whenever possible.
- ✅ Be fair and consistent with school rules.
- ✅ Help the learner understand the consequences of their actions.
- ✅ Encourage reflection and positive change.
- ✅ Recognize and praise good behavior.
- ✅ Work together with parents when necessary.
- ✅ Protect every learner's dignity and self-esteem.
- ✅ Be a role model of patience, kindness, and integrity.
