Established in 2012, KP is a not-for-profit university-level institution built on Christian ethos and fully accredited by the Government of Rwanda.

The newest Institution of Higher Learning in Rwanda, and the first to be based entirely in the Western Province. We have 3 faculties (Health Sciences, Business and Development Studies, Education) and one Department (Theology) offering the following programs:

STEMpower Rwanda in partnership with Kibogora Polytechnic organized Training of Trainers on Introduction to Embedded systems development from 27th to 30th September 2023.
Training was attended by STEM Centers representatives from Kibogora Polytechnic, INES Ruhengeri, University of Tourism and Technology and Business Studies (UTB), College Adventiste de Gitwe and East African Christian College.

Today on 7th August 2023, KP has organized a Public Lecture on "Mediation, Healing of Memories and Dealing with Traumatized People in the Church Community". The Lecture was facilitated by Prof. Dr Olga Lukács, Dean of the Faculty of Protestant Theology at Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca in Romania, Corinna Kärnbach, Trauma Therapist from Berlin , Germany and Dr. Dieter Brandes, Theologian and Economist from Germany . .
A further partnership between KP and Babeş-Bolyai University was explored and the MoU will be signed
