This Kigali conference on the preparation for the post 2015 education Agenda in Africa, has seen mobilization by the African Union in partnership with UNESCO and the EFA convening partners, technical and financial partners, CSOs and the African Youth network for the culture of peace for an endorsement of Africa's position on post 2015 education agenda. The Human Resources Science and Technology Commissioner of the AU is clear about the fact that Africa must mobilized from within especially to overcome the perennial problems faced over the last 15 years implementation of EFA agenda and the African Union 2nd decade on education. This internal mobilization must speak to African governments' investments in education to be able to address the real priorities for meaningful change through education. If Africa invests more on human resource development in an equitable way to reach unreached populations to build well educated, skilled and enterprising Africans there will be better guarantees for sustainable development, peace and security. Fragility as a result of lack of access to education, social protection and poverty gives way to disenchantment, conflict and wars. Unless there are inclusive policies and strategies which are implemented to benefit all there cannot be sustainable development. The Conference of Ministers of Education (COMEDAF) kicks off tomorrow as a pre-event before the regional conference for Africa which will be opened by HE Paul Kagame, the president of the Republic of Rwanda. What would Africa agree to prioritise as an education development agenda for post 2015. Africa will decide and honour its promises to the millions of children, youth and adults whose hopes are bruised and need immediate attention. Inclusive quality education for sustainable development cannot be comprised. What are your views? How can this be done would be debated by Ministers, development partners, CSOs, academicians and youths.
