The Southern Biscuit Restaurant serves sooo good food from the American South in the always bustling area of Kigali, Rwanda known as Nyamirambo. Nyamirambo is a predominately Muslim area in Kigali, Rwanda where two beautiful mosques are located as well as a large number of shops and small local restaurants. In fact, Nyamirambo is the place to find food any time of night or day and is known for its
nightlife. The Southern Biscuit is a good addition to the neighborhood and an opportunity for locals to try delicious food prepared with local ingredients in new and exciting ways. We hope to draw tourists and residing foreigners into Nyamirambo as well with great food at affordable prices We also deliver anywhere in Kigali for only 1000rwf. In addition to creating a special restaurant, two of The Southern Biscuit owners are founders and supporters of the local football (soccer) team, The VIM Team, a team comprised of boys from a small, poverty-stricken village in Kacyiru. As a result, 16% of proceeds from the restaurant are used to support the team and to support their education on ways to manage and generate money, as well as how to break any poverty mindset that often rules their lives. This means that anytime you eat at The Southern Biscuit, you not only get good food, you're supporting a good deed.
