We were honored to host Akintayo Ayodele-Bamisaye, a CRA Alumni, for a guest session with our Year 3 Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Leadership students at African Leadership University.

His practical experience in project management and navigating complex tasks provided our students with valuable real-world perspectives that complement their academic learning. Sessions like these play a critical role in bridging theory and practice, and in preparing our students to lead and execute impactful projects.

Thank you once again for your time and contribution to shaping future African leaders.

As part of our contribution to the Alumni Engine Activation strategic project under the 2026 OKRs, we were honored to host Jessica Gaba Moreen, Head of the Startup and Innovation Division at ADPME Benin and an alumna of the ALU Public Sector Fellowship (Cohort 3), for a session in the course Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Jessica for taking the time to support our undergraduate students. Through her practical insights and experience working across Benin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, she brought to life the critical role of stakeholders in shaping and sustaining innovation in transitioning economies.
Her session not only deepened students’ understanding but also inspired them to think more critically about the intersection of policy, investment, and entrepreneurship.

During the Public Sector Fellowship Cohort 3, worked on addressing outdated, manual record-keeping systems in Kisumu County that hinder the timely identification of high-risk pregnancies and contribute to maternal complications.

Last year, as part of our Public Sector InnovationHackathon, this challenge was selected by Philip Mganga, who went on to become the winner of the hackathon. Throughout the process, Iddah remained deeply engaged, coaching and guiding Philip as he developed the solution.

Philip built an AI-enabled platform featuring a pregnancy risk-assessment tool for the early identification and response to high-risk cases. The solution includes a real-time dashboard integrated with health records, enabling efficient data capture, administrative use, and data-driven decision-making.

We are proud of the continued mentorship between our fellows and students, demonstrating a strong culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and impact-driven leadership.

🎉 Cohort 4 Public Sector Fellowship First Intensive — Complete!

Last week, the Center for a Reimagined Africa wrapped up an incredible Fellowship Intensive in Gaborone 🇧🇼.

We kicked off with a powerful fireside chat between Mr. Keletsositse Olebile (CEO, BITC) and Dr. Ruwayne K**k, exploring leadership, investment, and national impact. Later in the week, BITC Board Chair Madikgetla joined Chidi Afulezi for a refreshingly honest conversation on non-linear leadership, resilience, and values-driven decision-making.

Thursday brought together senior public and private sector leaders for our Stakeholder Breakfast & Masterclass on Building Products for Botswana, unpacking how product thinking has shaped digital governments and leading global companies—and what that means for Botswana.

Huge thanks to the ALU School of Business for supporting our engagements and sharing their learning journey, and special appreciation to the Center for Health Innovation and Impact for supporting our healthcare fellows through sponsorship and continued collaboration. 🙌
