He had comfort in the palace… but his heart was with the broken. Nehemiah saw broken walls and refused a comfortable silence. He wept, he prayed, and he rose to rebuild.

Today, that same spirit lives on. During the alumni summit, the alumni generation 2026-2027 was named The Generation. This is not just a name; it’s a call to feel deeply, stand boldly, and restore what others have given up on. To speak where voices are silenced. To bring hope where darkness has settled.

From Being the Mission to Carrying the Mission…
This Saturday, nearly 1,000 Compassion Alumni |once sponsored children, now adults influencing their world, gathered with church leaders at the Compassion Alumni Summit 2026. Under the theme “Rise & Do Good | Speak up for the Voiceless,” powerful testimonies and inspiring stories renewed our shared calling to stand and advocate for children.

The mission continues—now through us.

What a powerful gathering at the Compassion Alumni Leaders Connect 2025!

This last Saturday, Alumni leaders from across Rwanda came together to be refreshed, equipped, and re-ignited to lead with compassion and purpose.

We reflected on 1 Corinthians 4:2 — “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”
From deep worship to inspiring discussions, leaders left renewed to mentor, serve, and champion child advocacy in their churches and communities. 💙

Truly, one generation is rising to shepherd the next!

This Saturday, God wrote another beautiful story — over 800 youth graduated from Compassion programs across 12 churches in Huye District, joining the Compassion Alumni Ministry to continue the mission of Child Advocacy . Grateful for the alumni leaders and churches who prepared them for this new chapter.@@
