What a special day, we celebrated being part of the Commonwealth through fun activities, geography, music, and discovery. This year’s theme, “Unlocking opportunities for a prosperous Commonwealth,” reminds us that education opens doors for children, communities, and nations. We are proud to be part of this global family.

‘We are celebrating the Commonwealth’ The team at Aspire Academy in the heart of the Eastern Province in Rwanda firmly believe that education holds the key to unlocking limitless potential. Their mission is to uplift communities, break the cycle of poverty, and create a brighter future for the children of Bugesera District.

Here is our latest update regarding the closure of Aspire. To be able to reopen, we need to build six more classrooms. And we are only about $32,000 away from being able to do that. Please consider donating so we can open school as soon as possible!

Update #2 on school closure After multiple attempts in the past week to find a way for the closure to be reversed, we are left with the only viable way forward: The extra 6 classrooms will need to be built.

Two years ago, we asked you all to pray. And here we are now, the land has been rezoned for us to continue building Aspire Academy. Thank you for praying and glory to you Lord! ❤️

In order to start building our school, we need the land to be rezoned. Please pray for that to happen quickly! We have a meeting with a local leader soon and we are hoping that will get us closer to being able to break ground for Aspire Academy!

Our new grade 1 students are learning about addition using pictures and number bonds!
