Prof. Jean Bosco Gahutu Memorial Award (cash prize of 100,000 Rwf) was received by the students from Lira University, Uganda.

The Award was sponsored by Prof Alagbonsi Abdullateef in loving memory of Late Prof. Jean Bosco Gahutu of the University of Rwanda.

Best Kenyan Student Award

The Award for the Best Student in Kenya during the 1st East African Physiology Quiz went to Brian Komu from The Aga Khan University Medical College, East Africa, Kenya.

He received a Cash Award of Ten Thousand Kenyan Shillings (10,000 KES) sponsored by Dr. F***j Alkizim.

Best Ugandan Student Award

The Award for the Best Student in Uganda during the 1st East African Physiology Quiz went to Austin Asiimwe from the Lira University, Uganda.

He received a Cash Award of Two Hundred Thousand Ugandan Shillings (200,000 UGX) sponsored by Mr. Herbert Izo Ninsiima.

He received a Cash Award of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Rwandan Francs (250,000 Rwf) jointly sponsored by the Duo of Prof. Elemi John Ani and Dr. Akaninyene Ubong Ime.
