It's never been that close!
This is coronavirus everyone keeps talking about.
Sechenov's lecturer (Pharmacy institute, faculty of pharmacy technology, assistant Mandrick Mark Aleksandrovich) created a detalized 3d model of SARS-CoV-2 virion.
While creating this model he used molecular visualisation applications, results of rentgenoconstructural analysis, literature about molecular biology and virusology.
This model can be used for virion's construction study and describing the mechanic of inseption.

In 1885 at the Devichye Pole has been started the construction of University clinical complex called Clinichesky gorodok (Clinical town). It was located between Pogodinskaya and Bolshaya Tsarytsinskaya streets (currently Bolshaya Pirogovskaya)
There is a road at the centre of this construction starting with obstetric clinic and stretches to the pathologoanatomic building with morgue, — from birth to death. This is how the name "Walk of life" was created. The fuctions of this complex are studying, scientific researches and treatment. This unique structure still works: the most of students' life is held exactly there!

Fundamental study library of Sechenov's, based on the MSU Library (1820), has returned to the renovated historical building on Zubovsky boulevard in 2015.
Now students have reading rooms with wi-fi and access to united electronic bases of most book depositories. Also there are computers which can be used for study projects making. At the moment the books are being chipped for creating a number of electronic book-return stations. They will open free access to bookshelves without librarians' help.

Today we'll tell about Biobank, where hi-quality, clinically characterized human biosampes are stoked. It is used for discovering and developing treatment and diagnosys methods.
It's one of the strategic centers in Regenerative medicine Institute's structure. The main aim of its work is collecting human biosamples and patients' data. Collected biosamples and clinical information are stoked in Biobank for commercial- and scientifical research organizations for scientifical use. These organizations may study the changes of organs caused by different pathologies.
Scientific data will be useful for fundamental molecular mechanisms' ideas expancion. It will help understand the oncological, gematological, endocrine diseases progression.
Perspectively the data may be important in new dyagnosis methods, prognosis, monitoring and/or treatment creation.

Based on the World's statistics, Taiwanese medicine turned out to be the most effective in fighting COVID-19. Sechenov university and Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) held an online meeting to exchange newest researches and knowledge. The webinar brought together about 40 infection desease experts to discuss their experience in reducing and preventing hospital-acquired infections.

— How remote learning influences on your daily routine?
— It's going great! My day became more flexible and now I'm having more time for study, fitness and personal interests.
— How are you scheduling your home study process?
— I'm making plans for each day. Preparing for classes before the beginning. It's important for me to do everything in time as remote study process needs to be disciplined.
— What about your freetime?
— I'm trying to move as much as possible doing exercises for at least half an hour. There's some time for rest left. Also I love drinking coffee, reading and texting my relatives.

— What do you like about Russia?
— I'm independent here, I have a space of mine and I make decisions on my own. I like independence for forming my personality and responcibility. It's inportant for me to schedule my life myself. The one thing I really hate is weather: it's cold and cloudy.
— What's surprising for you in Moscow?
— Russians are not very friendly. They look harshy, I noticed this from the first moment. Also they eat less, At home we often have rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but my russian friends can have it with only tea and yoghurt, I'd be hungry after a neal like this.
— Why have you chisen medicine?
— It's an ambitions' satisfaction. My family isn't medical. Well, maybe only mom who works as a nurse. Dad is an ordinary ingeneer. I just want to prove myself I can.

The Round University Rankings 2020 (RUR), released on 13 May 2020, has revealed the world’s best universities. Sechenov University is among the biggest risers in the ranking, having improved its position by 80 points. It is currently ranked 545 in RUR World University Rankings, and 16 in RUR Russian Universities Ranking (compare to No. 625 in the world and No. 19 in Russia last year). Sechenov University has also been ranked as the best medical university in Russia.

The Medical Worker’s Day is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June every year in Russia.
History fact:
This holiday was celebrated in the USSR too. The decree on celebrating was issued by Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the 1st of October, 1980
