Magic Rainbow Ice

Ingredients:

Ice cube tray

Water

Food coloring (red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange)

Pipettes or droppers

Baking soda (1/2 cup)

Vinegar (1-2 cups)

Large tray or shallow dish

Small bowls or cups for colored vinegar

Directions:

Fill an ice cube tray with water and freeze until solid (4–6 hours or overnight).

Once frozen, pop the ice cubes out and place them on a large tray or dish in a single layer.

In separate small cups, mix vinegar with a few drops of different food colorings.

Sprinkle baking soda generously over the ice cubes on the tray.

Using pipettes or droppers, slowly drip the colored vinegar over the ice.

Watch the magical fizzing, bubbling, and color-mixing effect as the ice melts and reacts with the baking soda!
