Within the framework of the Climate Leaders Make the Action project, a 3-day LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activity) was held in Athens, bringing together international partners in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The first day focused on reconnection and hands-on work, with constructive discussions on project progress, evaluation of intellectual outputs developed so far, and an active exchange of ideas aimed at strengthening the partnership and ensuring consistent implementation across all teams.
Throughout the sessions, several relevant tools and concepts were introduced and integrated into the project activities, including NAPKIN AI and elements of the Yellow Fish Campaign, both used as practical support within the toolkit and learning process.
The mobility also included a special informal moment celebrating one of the members of the Spanish team, which contributed to team cohesion and reinforced the positive atmosphere of the meeting.
Overall, the three-day LTTA provided a valuable space for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the continued consolidation of the international partnership.

Water pollution with plastic is a serious problem because bottles, bags and other discarded packaging end up in rivers, lakes and oceans, where they remain for a very long time and break into small pieces called microplastics. Aquatic animals mistake plastic for food, can suffocate, get injured or die after swallowing it, and the microplastics then end up in fish and in the water we drink. For humans, this can mean long‑term health problems, which is why it is important to use less plastic, not throw rubbish into the water and recycle packaging properly.
Every small choice is a vote for less plastic and more life in our oceans.

Plastic pollution: is it really that bad?
Nine in ten Europeans worry about plastic’s impact on the environment. But plastic is not the worst offender when compared to other kinds of pollution
16/03/2026
Every single minute, a full truckload of plastic is dumped into the ocean, and around 8–14 million tonnes of plastic flow into the sea every year, choking turtles, seabirds, and fish.
Microplastics have already been found in a large share of seafood samples we eat.
But this story can change today: say no to single-use bottles and bags, choose a reusable bottle and shopping bag, support brands that cut plastic, and join a local clean‑up.
Every small choice is a vote for less plastic and more life in our oceans.

The first meeting of the project was hosted by APROFEM in the beautiful city of Ciudad Real 🌍
It was a highly productive meeting, where partners had the opportunity to review, align, and agree on the project’s intellectual outputs: the guide, educational tools, and the CLIMA digital platform. A key step toward coherence, quality, and real impact.
Stay tuned to follow the next steps of this special and truly unique project.
As a bonus, we enjoyed a taste of Spanish cuisine and a well-organized city tour offered by our wonderful hosts.
Culture, collaboration, and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Our motto: Less plastic, more future.
Special thanks to ELEBO for the support provided, both logistically and in project management—strong partnerships always make the difference.

Only 9% of all plastic ever produced has been recycled, while around 11 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean annually.
Microplastics have been found in water, soil, food, and even human blood, raising serious concerns about long-term impacts on health and ecosystems.
If no action is taken, plastic waste entering the ocean could triple by 2040.
What can be done?
Reducing single-use plastics, promoting reuse systems, improving waste management, and investing in sustainable alternatives are proven solutions.
Education and community-level action play a key role in changing consumption habits and accelerating the transition toward a low-waste future.
Systemic change starts with informed choices and collective responsibility.

On 13 January 2026, an online meeting was held between 09:30 and 10:30 CET, bringing together representatives of aprofem.org, In-Planet, and Asociația Susține.
The meeting agenda included the analysis of the surveys conducted by INPLANET, the presentation of the final report on the results of the surveys carried out by the three partners, and the presentation of the Infopack for the upcoming meeting in Spain.
Additionally, the next steps were agreed upon, namely the drafting of the guide and toolkits, utilizing the existing structure and templates already developed and shared among partners.
The meeting supported alignment among partners and clarified responsibilities for the next phase of project implementation.

The rest ends up in landfills, is burned, or escapes into nature – into rivers, seas, and the soil we work. If nothing changes, experts warn that plastic pollution could more than double by 2040.
Our future depends on what we choose now: less single-use plastic, more reused, repaired, and refilled.
Every action matters – from a refillable bottle to refusing unnecessary bags and packaging. Less plastic, more future.
