someone needs to do it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Am I the only one who somehow still feels like I crushed it at work when this happens? 😅

✨ Send this to someone who does the same 🤭

these days, I do things differently…

✦ I block focus time in the morning when my energy is the highest.
✦ I keep a simple dashboard to track projects, priorities, and blockers (so nothing slips through the cracks).
✦ I give regular progress updates to my manager and stakeholders, this stops the overload before it starts.
✦ I make time daily to support my coworkers, because it builds trust and teamwork.
✦ I make sure my team knows my strengths, so I’m seen as reliable without saying yes to everything.

These are the quiet things that help me perform at my 9–5 and still have energy left for my own dreams.

the way you manage your energy at work determines what you can build after work

These 3 things made the difference for me:

1️⃣ Protect my focus hours
I’m most focused in the early morning, so I block that time for important work, the tasks that actually move the needle.
No emails, no meetings, no distractions.
I literally block that time in my calendar so no one can steal my best hours for things that don’t matter.

2️⃣ Always take my lunch break away from my desk
I never skip lunch, especially on busy days. And I always eat away from my desk.
This is my reset time. It clears my head, helps me recharge, and keeps me from ending the day stressed and overwhelmed.

3️⃣ Avoid doing overtime work
I try to leave when my workday is done. Not because I’m lazy, but because I need that space to transition from employee mode to entrepreneur mode.
If I absolutely have to stay late, I make sure I get compensated with time off another day or extra pay. My time has value.

These aren’t grand gestures. They’re the small boundaries that protect what matters most - my energy for the life I’m building.

Comment “TPA” if you’re ready to stop running on fumes and start using the complete framework that shows you how to manage your energy, protect your focus, and make real progress on your goals (even with a demanding 9-5).

The people who successfully balance a demanding job and a side gig don’t have more hours in the day.
They have better systems for managing the energy within those hours.

There’s always next week, next month or next quarter right?

I used to think like this ALL. THE. TIME.

And guess what happened? Burnout - in its full, dramatic glory.
Like… who would’ve seen that coming? 😅

After going through that mess, I knew I had to find a better way to work, one that didn’t leave me exhausted and empty eventually.

So I tried everything the productivity gurus suggested. And I mean everything!

Most of them didn’t work for me.
But these 2 things completely changed the way I approach work now:

👉🏻 Listen to your energy levels
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
The secret is to use your high-energy moments for your most demanding tasks because that’s when focus comes easier.

If you work a 9–5 job like me, start paying attention to when you feel most alert: morning or afternoon?
Use that time for deep work, and save admin tasks or meetings for your lower-energy moments.

Even if you only get 1–2 hours of solid focus, if you protect that time and avoid distractions, you’ll be shocked at how much you can get done.

👉🏻 Time block focused work and breaks
I used to be sooo skeptical about time blocking.
It felt too rigid, like I’d lose all my freedom.
But the truth is, it was completely the opposite.

When you start time blocking both your work sessions and your breaks, your day becomes clearer.
You have a plan.

You know when to work, and you know when you’ll pause for lunch or take a coffee break, without guilt.

It’s incredibly freeing to know you’re not just grinding all day, you’re working with intention and giving yourself space to breathe.

I created a free guide to help you start time blocking in just 4 simple steps.
(because you don’t need another overwhelming strategy but a clear plan that works)
