The BSC Excellence Award represents a financial fund created by former student members from the Bucharest Student Chapter, present in the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics from the University of Bucharest. The fund was established in order to help current students (Bachelor and Master) to improve their future professional career through supporting travel expenses, registration fees or any form of
support in order to help the student reach his goals. In order to do so the group has decided that they will offer financial support for students willing to participate at international geoscience conferences, workshops, short courses or field trips. The scholarship will be offered to students who prove to a committee of 5 current professionals that they deserve the sum they are asking for. The financial support they will receive is given in order to help the student grow as a geoscientist and make him a valuable asset on the geoscience market. The student has to follow the guidelines and rules offered by the group. The scholarship is designed for students who are highly motivated, involved in extracurricular activities, above average in school and willing to explore other professional opportunities than the ones offered in the formal program of the school.
