This year, POLITEHNICA Bucharest is hosting the European Agent Systems Summer School (EASSS 2025) from September 1–3, followed by the European Conference on Multi-Agent Systems (EUMAS 2025) from September 3–5.

The theme this year is all about Engineering Multi-Agent Systems in the era of Generative AI – a hot and fast-evolving topic! 🔥🤖

We’re excited to share that we already have some great tutorials lined up, including:
✅ Meta-learning for Reward-Based Learning
✅ Interaction-Oriented Programming
✅ And a new tutorial on Agentic AI, delivered by UIPath – a global leader in Agentic Workflow Management and Robotic Process Automation!

There will also be:

🤝 A Community Session on how the MAS research community is adapting to the GenAI shift

🚀 The European AI Lightghouse project ENFIELD (https://www.enfield-project.eu/) is organizing its first Hackathon on the theme of Bias Identification and Mitigation in AI.

📅 The Hackathon takes place in 3 stages:

- 05/06/2024 - 07/07/2024 - team registration and topic proposal
- 12/07/2024 - 26/08/2024 - initial solution development
- 29/08 - 30/08/2024 - solution refinement under the guidance of ENFIELD mentors and on-site presentation in Bucharest, at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA of Bucharest

🏆 The first prize is 5000 EUR, the second prize is 2000 EUR, and the impact prize is 1000 EUR. Additional prizes from the companies sponsoring the event are also available.

👥 Teams can have up to 4 members, and participants can be students at the bachelor's, master's, PhD, or post-doc level (up to 5 years from completing their PhD).

Goethe-Institutes in Southeast Europe invite us to the EthicAI=FORUM, November 18th, 1pm-7pm (GMT+2).

The event is open to the public and aims to present the collaborative works of researchers, academics, artists, lawyers and journalists on the topic of AI and ethics. The event is fully virtual and the official language of all sessions is English.

Along with the six collaborations of our project participants, we've invited for a keynote speaker Gry Hasselbalch - a leader in AI Ethics in the European Commission. On our stage we'll also see artists exploring the relationship between humans and machines. The program will conclude with an audio-visual live performance by Ivan Shopov.

The event offers opportunities for networking with experts in AI and Ethics.

Early Registration for the European Advanced Course on AI (ACAI 2021) is about to close!

The course will take place 11-14 October 2021 in Berlin, Germany. Due to COVID19 restrictions, places are limited to 60 participants. Online broadcasting is available for those not able to attend in person. Allocation of places will be done by order of registration. Register NOW if you want to be sure of a place!

A significant number of grants covering registration fee are available to members of EURAI societies.
